Why I Should Be Unbanned:
The player who was killed was at fault for the situation. She drove into an active shooting zone, where she saw police cars and officers taking cover behind them. Despite this, she chose to drive into the area. After exiting her car, she was seen walking towards the officers and was moving alongside a man wearing a vest.
At the time, I was on the rooftop of the LC building and had just shot at and killed an officer in a police helicopter. I was crouched down, hiding, unable to stand up and properly assess the situation or visually identify whether people were officers or civilians. When I peeked out, I saw her running next to the man with the vest and assumed she might be an undercover officer or an FBI agent with an unmarked vehicle.
I knew I had only a split second to react before the police would open fire on me. In that brief moment, I shot her once and immediately dove back down to cover. From my perspective, she was surrounded by cops, and I couldn’t tell whether she was a civilian or an officer.
Even if you consider the situation from her perspective alone, she was still at fault. You can’t expect to walk into an active shooting zone and assume there won’t be a threat to your safety.
