Incident Description*:

I was in a pursuit with an individual for possession of a Stolen Police Vehicle. During this pursuit, I made frequent call outs via the two way VC radio of the location and direction of travel. Eventually, the subject began to travel in the wrong lanes of travel on 215 (highway). This is when he struck the offender's (s_eljuk) vehicle totalling both vehicles. This prompted s_eljuk to fire shots at my marked patrol vehicle as I returned to the location of the suspect's vehicle. Upon exiting my vehicle, the offender continued to fire shots at me as well as a responding unit while I was clearly wearing my CHP uniform and even after I used the radio to advise him to stop. The offender in-directly admitted to knowingly shooting at me because supposedly I struck his vehicle.
