What Happened?*
I was driving down the road while first person chambering my guns, which is why my driving was erratic and off the road. When I looked up, I saw a CHP officer with his gun aimed at me, which he then used to fire multiple rounds at me. In defense, I drove forward and veered off so as not to hit him. Attempting self defense and to dissuade lethal force, I came back as he had initiated the lethal contact by shooting. I then had to leave the game, and seeing that he wasn't chasing me I parked in the middle of the road and left.

Ban Reason (as stated in the ban message)*
FRP, NITRP, SI, LTAA

Why Should You Be Unbanned?*
FRP: Firstly, FRP is defined as "Doing unrealistic actions not fitting your RP role." The actions I took (speeding while first person) were within the realm of real-life possibility, and is done regularly throughout the game. The RP was initiated when he aimed and shot at me. While his reasons to shoot me may be valid, it does not change the fact that I feared for my life when he shot at and continued to shoot at me, and thus in a natural and realistic reaction, I attempted to avoid being shot by swerving towards them and driving away. When I circled back (not to kill, but to re-engage as a terrified driver under threat of death), I wasn't aiming to hit them. I did not hit anyone a single time in the clip, like I said I was not paying attention and the first thing I saw was a gun and shots.
Next, on SI. Scene Interference is defined as "Entering a scene without valid RP reason." For one, I hadn't entered the scene, I was brought into one by force. I was aimed and shot at for simply driving by a scene, which is similar to the new prohibited actions in the [2.2] Rule, stating that civs cannot shoot at cops simply for driving by. Simply driving down the road, even if closely to the scene, and being shot at without provocation qualifies me as a victim not as the suspect. I would go a step further and say by being the aggressor and escalating to shooting at me, the officer created a separate scene. (Traffic stop vs. Shooting) The idea that I could be charged with "interference" after being attacked while simply driving by is logically inconsistent and sets a negative precedent.

Next, on the charge of NITRP. It is no longer enforced, per the corporate team considering it is no longer in the rulebook: https://discord.com/channels/902369439545180180/1306075771944570880/1363356006985498656

Lastly, on the charge of LTAA. For one, I could not find the LTAA rule in the rulebook. Even if it was, I was not actively under threat of arrest considering As seen in the clip, I was stopped before the officer had even pulled off and initiated his lights because I was under the belief he wasn't chasing me, and because I needed to disconnect due to IRL obligations.

Ban Appeal Review Decision

Appealing User: WhereRose (Roblox ID: 650512290)
Discord ID: 736073421225721906
Ban Type: Temporary Ban (3 Days)
Ban Reason: FRP, NITRP, SI, LTAA
Staff Member: q_Sxmply
Evidence Reviewed:

Summary of Appeal:
The user claims they were simply driving while in first-person and were unexpectedly shot at by law enforcement. In response, they state they panicked and attempted to flee, circled back without the intent to harm, and eventually left the game due to IRL reasons. The user disputes each charge individually and argues that some rule categories are outdated or not applicable to their case.

Final Decision: Appeal Denied – Violations Substantiated

After thoroughly reviewing the video and context:

1. [Section 2.2] – FailRP / Unrealistic Behavior
  • The user repeatedly circles back into an active, armed officer-involved shooting scene while driving erratically and nearly colliding with units.

  • While first-person driving is not inherently FRP, using it as justification for reckless and immersion-breaking driving behavior—especially after gunfire had already been exchanged—does not excuse or override the realism standards expected.

2. [Section 5.1] – Scene Interference (SI)
  • The claim that the user “became” part of the scene due to being shot at is not supported by the footage. The user is seen intentionally returning to the area twice, while police are clearly still engaging in active RP.

  • Entering or re-entering an armed scene without a valid RP reason is explicitly prohibited, and this behavior meets the standard for Scene Interference.

3. [Section 2.1] – Not In The Roleplay (NITRP)
  • While recent moderation messaging has suggested softening the use of "NITRP" as a standalone label, the actions here reflect behavior defined by the core of the term: non-serious, disruptive behavior with no meaningful contribution to the RP scene.

  • Driving into an active shootout with no valid RP lead-up, then leaving mid-scene without notifying staff, supports the application of NITRP under the general expectation of meaningful RP contribution.

4. [Section 2.5] – LTAA (Leave to Avoid Arrest)
  • The user disconnects immediately after fleeing from officers and making a final stop in the middle of the road.

  • Whether the officer had lights activated at that exact second is irrelevant; the entire context—including being pursued in a prior gunfire situation—makes it clear that this was not a clean or safe point to exit the game.

  • Disconnecting while law enforcement is preparing to initiate detainment falls within the scope of LTAA.

Outcome:

  • The 3-day ban is valid and will remain in place

  • The user is expected to re-review the following rules before returning:

    • Section 2.1 – NITRP

    • [Section 2.2 – FailRP / PvP Behavior]

    • [Section 2.5 – LTAA]

    • [Section 5.1 – Scene Interference]

The staff team appreciates the thoughtfulness of the appeal, but the video evidence and behavior pattern do not support a reversal of this action.
