Warning Date: 4/16/25

Game Where the Warning Occurred:
Perris

Warning Reason: (If multiple on that day, please list all of them)
NLR and SI

Warning Appeal:
The premises of the appeal should address both the NLR and SI.

Context: I engaged in a short shootout while stationary at an intersection, then after I died my friend in the vehicle drove away and engaged in a pursuit. We are a party over 2 thus used VC or "radio" to communicate and I drove to the pursuit location.

NLR states: “Do not return to your death location for 15 minutes or if the situation is ongoing. Forget all previous life knowledge.” Per the rules, under subsection 3 of scene interference, Citizens can call / radio their organization members to enter the situation for assistance. Thus I acted on information gained in the new life, and did not break NLR as I did not return to the death location which is the explicit subject of the 2 modifiers "15 minute" or the situation. since my actions were congruent with the rules in gaining new information, and I did not act on old information (especially considering the old information would not help me ascertain the pursuit location, it was across the map) then simply rejoining a related scene to the one you died in is not breaking NLR.

Warning Type: NLR (New Life Rule) & SI (Scene Interference)
Game: Perris, California
Warning Date: April 16, 2025
Staff Member: pokedigge900
Evidence Reviewed:
Video Logs via Staff Report (Discord Media):

Moderation History:

  • 3 warnings including LTAA (Jan 8), PD (June 2024), and current NLR/SI

  • 1 prior day ban for FRP (Mar 23, 2025)

  • Recent kick for NLR (April 9)

  • Moderation history indicates repeated RP violations within 30 days

Summary of Appeal:
The user argues that they did not violate NLR, as they did not return to the specific location where they died, and instead responded to a new location based on fresh information relayed through in-character communication (VC/radio). They also claim that Scene Interference (SI) does not apply because they were a party member rejoining a related but geographically separate encounter.

Final Decision: Warning Upheld – Improper Re-entry into Active Scene

After full review of the videos and appeal:

  • In the footage, the user is confirmed to have died in a shootout and re-engaged in the same scenario shortly after through proximity and continued involvement with their group.

  • While they may not have returned to the exact GPS coordinates of their death, the new entry into the evolving same pursuit is still considered part of the original scene, violating NLR guidelines:

[Section 2.5] – New Life Rule (NLR)
“Do not return to your death location for 15 minutes OR if the situation is still active. You must forget all prior knowledge from your past life.”

  • Furthermore, their re-entry mid-pursuit without visible re-initiation RP or valid justification aligns with:

[Section 4.3] – Scene Interference (SI)
“Do not involve yourself in active RP scenes unless you have a valid RP reason to do so.”

  • The rules also explicitly restrict re-involvement via alternate positioning when the scene is still active, even with VC or team communication. Scene continuity and realism are expected to be respected even across map zones.

Outcome:

  • ⚠️ Warning for NLR and SI will remain on the user’s record

  • Due to repeated infractions, continued disregard for RP boundaries may result in elevated future actions

  • User is advised to avoid all related scenes after death, regardless of location, and allow a full reset period before rejoining ongoing events
