Warning Reason: DAVID IMPERSONATION
Warning Appeal: Answer (Explain why you believe the warning should be lifted.) The warning should be lifted because it's a Roblox avatar that anyone can purchase. It is not owned by David, nor was it created specifically for him. and it's for sale that anyone can buy. If there is a rule stating that I can't wear that I would like to see it. Thank you.

Warning Appeal Review Decision

Appealing User: Karlos_Division (Roblox ID not provided)
Discord ID: 1258798753431945323
Warning Date: April 17, 2025
Warning Reason: David Impersonation
Staff Member: @david.is59012

Summary of Appeal:
The user was warned for “David Impersonation” after appearing in-game with a Roblox avatar resembling the CEO of Mountain Interactive. In the appeal, they argue that the outfit is a publicly available item and that there is no stated rule prohibiting others from wearing similar combinations.

Final Decision: Appeal Denied – Warning Stands

After review:

  • While the outfit components may be public assets, impersonation is not about asset ownership — it's about intent and presentation, especially when the appearance can mislead players into thinking someone holds authority they do not.

  • Mountain Interactive staff, especially executives like David, maintain recognizable in-game appearances to uphold visibility and trust within the community. Attempting to replicate this appearance undermines that.

  • [Section 1.6] of our rules, "Do not impersonate staff or community leadership in any form," directly applies to this situation.

  • Even if no words were exchanged, visual impersonation still constitutes misrepresentation and violates trust-based rules.

Outcome:

  • Warning will remain on record.

  • No further action is being taken unless repeated.

  • The user is advised not to wear combinations intended to resemble leadership members.

Future intentional mimicry of any staff or leadership figure — visual or behavioral — may result in escalated moderation, including suspension or permanent ban.
