Mountain Interactive Staff Promotion Application Requirements

Thank you for your interest in advancing your role within the Mountain Interactive Staff Team! Promotions are an opportunity to take on greater responsibilities and contribute even more to the community. Please ensure you meet the following requirements before submitting your promotion application.


Eligibility Requirements

  1. Minimum Service Time

    • Applicants must have served in their current role for at least 3 months of full activity before applying for a promotion.

  2. Performance Review

    • Applicants must demonstrate consistent and exceptional performance in their current role, as reflected in evaluations from supervisors or logs of contributions (e.g., resolved issues, projects completed, community engagement).

  3. Clean Moderation Record

    • Applicants must have a clean moderation record with:

      • No active warnings or bans within the past 6 months.

      • No history of major disciplinary action (e.g., demotion due to misconduct).

  4. Approval Document

    • Applicants must upload an approval document in PDF format signed by a Trust & Safety instructor or an Administrator, endorsing the promotion application.

  5. Reference from Senior Staff

    • Applicants must secure a reference from a Senior Staff Member (Administrator or above) who can attest to their qualifications and readiness for the next role.

  6. Trial Period Completion

    • Applicants must have successfully completed their trial period (if applicable) and maintained strong performance during this time.


Additional Requirements

  1. Activity and Engagement

    • Applicants must demonstrate active participation in Mountain Interactive's community, such as:

      • Regularly moderating games or forums.

      • Contributing to staff meetings or initiatives.

      • Helping mentor junior staff members.

  2. Leadership Skills

    • Applicants should showcase leadership capabilities, including:

      • Conflict resolution.

      • Effective communication with staff and community members.

      • Initiative in addressing issues and improving processes.

  3. Contribution Logs

    • Applicants must provide documentation of contributions in their current role, such as:

      • Moderation logs.

      • Evidence of leadership or community-building activities.

      • Feedback from team members.


Disqualifications

Applications will not be considered if:

  • You fail to meet the service time or performance requirements.

  • You have active warnings, bans, or unresolved disciplinary issues.

  • You submit false or misleading information.


Application Process

  1. Application Submission

    • Ensure all required documents, references, and logs are included in your application.

  2. Review Period

    • Applications will be reviewed by a panel of Senior Staff members. This process may include an interview or further evaluations.

  3. Promotion Decision

    • Approved applicants will be contacted with details about their promotion and any associated new responsibilities.
