Moderator Application Requirements

Mountain Interactive Staff Application Guidelines

Thank you for considering a position with the Mountain Interactive Staff Team! Below are the requirements and expectations for applicants. Please review these carefully before submitting your application.

Age Requirement

• Applicants must be at least 14 years old at the time of applying.

Staff References

• Applicants must provide at least one staff reference from an Administrator or higher-level staff member. The reference should confirm your qualifications and suitability for the role.

Experience Requirement

• Applicants must show evidence of 4 weeks (1 month) of trial moderator experience in Mountain Interactive or a similar platform.

  • Evidence may include moderation logs, feedback from supervisors, or other relevant documentation.

Approval Document

• Applicants must upload an approval document in PDF format signed by a Trust & Safety instructor, granting explicit authorization to proceed with the staff application.

Moderation History

Applicants must have a clean moderation record:

• No active warnings or bans within the last 6 months in Mountain Interactive games or affiliated Discord servers.

• No history of permanent bans, unless successfully appealed and overturned.

Clarifications:

• Kicks: These are not considered in the evaluation process.

• Notes: Only notes referencing past bans or appeals will be reviewed.

Additional Requirements

1. Community Involvement: Applicants must have been active in Mountain Interactive for at least 30 days prior to applying.

2. Communication Skills: Applicants must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

3. Teamwork and Responsibility: A reliable and respectful approach to teamwork is essential.

Disqualifications

Applications will not be considered if:

• You fail to provide a staff reference, trial moderator experience, or an approval document.

• You have active warnings or bans in effect.

• You submit false or misleading information in your application.
