What Happened?

I was banned for two separate scenes, one involving RDM & FRP, and the other for TA. Here's the full context:

First Scene – RDM & FRP:

There was a moderator (Cynicalled) who, as a civilian in a white outfit, had been involved in multiple scenes where he killed police officers—for example, barricading in a house and shooting at LEOs. I was on RCSO, responding to a CHP panic on the highway after finishing a 10-80 ending in a crash. When I arrived, the same white civilian started shooting at me. I was alone on scene, and another officer was already down. I returned fire while waiting for backup. He stopped shooting at some point, and due to the darkness, I couldn’t tell if he was still armed or injured. I cautiously approached his position, and seeing him lying on the ground, I fired once to ensure he was neutralized, but he was already downed, which unfortunately killed him.

Second Scene – TA:

Shortly after, I observed a reckless driver speeding with no lights in the wrong lane. I pulled him over and initiated a stop, but he refused to provide ID. I asked him to step out of the vehicle. He did so from the passenger side in complete darkness, and I couldn’t clearly see his actions. Fearing a potential threat, I pulled my taser and tased him, which I later acknowledged was premature. I immediately apologized, instructed him to face his car to avoid cuff-rushing, and completed the arrest. He later reported me.

Ban Reason (as shown in the message):

RDM, FRP, TA, Violation of OSP.

Why Should I Be Unbanned?

Both incidents were based on honest mistakes made in dark, unclear environments while I was alone on scene. In the first case, I had no way to know if the suspect was truly down, and given his past behavior and the active shooting, I made a decision I believed was necessary for safety. In the second, the tasing was a poor judgment call under pressure, but I took accountability on the spot and corrected my actions. I never intended to break any rules or lower RP quality. I'm open to learning and improving from this experience.

Appeal Status: REJECTED

@gregegthr

Thank you for your appeal regarding your recent ban from Mountain Interactive. After careful review, we regret to inform you that your appeal has been rejected. The reason for this decision is as follows:

Reason: clip from first scenario shows you executing an injured individual lying on the ground bleeding out. Clip from second scenario shows you randomly and without any reason tazing an individual for following your orders, and stepping out of the vehicle. I will add this was not done in "complete darkness", the headlights from your vehicle were shining brightly onto the side of the car he got out of, giving you no excuse to taze him.

We encourage you to reflect on our community guidelines to ensure a positive experience in the future. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

Best regards,
The Mountain Interactive Moderation Team
