I drive up to a scene where on the radio someone had reported a police car stolen. I pull up and see shots being fired at officers from a red explorer. It is dark and I can't see very much. When I get behind an officers car to ask what's happening I am being shot at I peek from behind the car to see a dark figure with a pistol pointing towards my face. I shoot around 3-4 rounds into the "officer" (I did not know this at the time) ending the "threat" I go to check if he is still alive and find out it is an officer of the law. I approach the person that called it on the radio and he responds with "he looked like he stole it" I go to question him and he drives away. I did not see the uniform because of how dark it was and only shot back because I saw a figure shooting at police and shooting at my direction. I did not mean to kill another law enforcement officer and it was a complete misunderstanding.

Why Should You Be Unbanned?:
I believe that I should be unbanned because I did not know it was an officer and followed what other units relied on the radio. Like I have said before I take roleplay seriously and do not try to do things like teamkilling. I could not see the person that was shooting and was acting in complete self defense fearing for my life. If the officer that reported the car "stolen" would have obtained a description instead of firing this entire thing would have been avoided.
