Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?
I want to become a moderator because my main goal is to truly help the Mountain Interactive community. I'm tired of seeing players constantly killing each other for no reason or arguing about FRP when there are no moderators around. This lets people do whatever they want, and it makes the game less fun for everyone. My biggest reason for wanting to join the staff is to help stop these issues and make the community safer and better for all players.
Ultimately, I just want everyone to have fun and be happy in the game that would be my top priority as a moderator.
When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?
Im usually available around 1:00-7:00PM / UTC-5
But im available to moderate whenever. How Would You Handle Rule breaking? Let's use a scenario involving FRP with "Cop567"and "Noob321"
"Cop567" is trying to roleplay an arrest on "Noob321" for not leaving a scene at S&K but "Noob321" constantly runs away jumping on cars, at S&K and saying things like "You stupid pig," and yelling at "cop567" but then once "cop567" manages to cuff "Noob321" then "Noob321" calls in !help which notifys me and i then teleport to "Noob321" and "Noob321" says that "Cop567" is FRPing then i say to "Noob321" you called for help saying "Cop567" is FRPing Can you explain what happened. "Noob321" says that he didnt do anything and that "Cop567" cuffed him for no reason. Then i say to"Cop567" "Noob321" is claiming you're FRPing. Do you have anything to add or any evidence of what happened before I teleported This is where "Cop567" would mention having clips of the altercation. Then I would immediately ask "Cop567" to send me the clips and it shows that "Noob321" is not following Gameplay Rules. Based on" Cop567's" clips my initial assessment is that "Noob321" is clearly guilty of several rule violations like FRP (Failure to Roleplay): Noob321 refused to engage in the arrest roleplay. Running away and ignoring commands fundamentally breaks the roleplay for everyone involved. And Disrespect/Verbal Abuse: Calling "Cop567" a "stupid pig" which is unacceptable. This falls under the rules against verbal abuse and disrespect towards other players. This kind of language ruins the friendly atmosphere in the community. And lastly False Report / !help Abuse: Calling !help and falsely accusing Cop567 of FRP, when Noob321 was the one FRPing is a serious misuse of staff tools. The !help system is there for genuine issues not for players to get out of consequences or to harass others. I would finally take action and deal with the disruptive player and say to Noob321 I've reviewed the evidence and it's very clear that you were not following roleplay commands, you were verbally abusing Cop567, and you called !help with a false report. Your actions are a clear case of FRP, disrespect, and abuse of our help system. That is absolutely not allowed here in this community. I would then temporary ban "Noob321" for an Hour and validate "Cop567" for his action and lastly document the report.
