I want to become a Moderator within Mountain Interactive, as I, as a player, see the impact that rulebreakers have on roleplays. I want to contribute to ensuring that other players, just like me, can enjoy the game without interruptions, or help guide new players through the rules, so that they dont break rules on accident. When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?
During weekdays I'm usually available from 2 PM CEST to 10 PM CEST. During the weekend or holidays, I have time from about 10 AM CEST until 3 AM CEST
How Would You Handle Rule breaking?
Rule breaking depends on whether the player is a repeat offender or new to the community. For example, a repeat offender has usually already been informed about what breaks the rules, especially if they’ve been moderated multiple times. On the other hand, new players may not have read through all the rules, which, to be honest, most players don’t, and this might lead them to accidentally break rules.
If I encountered a repeat offender, I would check their record (warnings, bans, or kicks) and the reasons behind them, to determine whether they are intentionally breaking specific rules, and may issue punishment. If it’s a new player, I would first explain which rule they broke and how to avoid doing so again, and think twice about handling out punishment.
