Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?
I'm really looking to become a moderator because of the pure example they set to community members, and I really think I could carry that on as a moderator. My motivation is simply being able to assist individuals with simple or complex needs and doing it the right way, which I feel like is overlooked. When I decided to apply, it was actually the day I was moderated for FRP. Little ironic, but that made me feel a way where I can do better and adjust from my mistakes and turn around to help others out and prevent issues like I mistakenly caused today. Qualities and traits I possess and look forward to presenting to the community is leadership, kindness, and integrity. Furthermore, I use those traits to ultimately make others experience better which is a key component of my work style.
While I am semi-new to this community, I believe I would be a good fit to the staff team because of my values and understanding of moderation. I will continue to be active within this community for as long as possible and interact with friends who also partake in this community.
Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members?
Yes,
- jahbound (Great guy, assisted me with a few things, one of which wasn't moderator related and was something about the gameplay in Perris.)
When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?
I am EST, I am usually available to moderate throughout the day on weekdays and weekends. My main activity will usually be at night, so 9 PM - 12 AM and early in the morning so around 8 AM - 12 AM.
How Would You Handle Rule breaking?
I'll explain it in a few different ways,
First time offenders: Understanding their situation is key in this scenario, as many times first offenders are new and fresh to the community. With that, I would take that into account and thoroughly explain what rule was broken so the individual is aware for future reference. Being kind and respectful to that individual throughout would also be key in that situation.
Repeat offenders: If someone has a lengthy moderation issue, its important to look to see if that individual has learned from their lesson or continue to break that rule because of their ignorance towards said rule. When handling this, it's important for me to be direct to that individual about the situation, while being kind and respectful. If the situation calls for it, a hefty consequence may be required, although it's not the most pleasant way of handling that, it's the right thing for their understanding towards the issue.

Realistic Example:
Player A - CHP
Player B - Civilian
"Player A is in pursuit with a civilian in a black kia, player B, the civilian, is speeding on the highway when he begins to slow down and come to a stop. Player A follows, and begins to stop as well. Player B runs up to Player A while they are in the vehicle. Player A begins to reverse but Player B jumps into the car and starts shooting the officer."
Rule Violated - FRP
Explanation and how I would handle this situation:
To begin with, I would request for video footage or any other source of proof from Player A, the reporting individual in this scenario. Upon reviewing the footage, I would explain politely to player B that jumping into a moving car and shooting the driver is unrealistic and is considered FRP. Before warning or banning the individual, making sure they understand what happened and how they violated the rule is very important.
Anything Else We Should Know?
Yes, I have plenty of experience with moderation, even though it's from one community, it still carried issues that had to be dealt with. Furthermore, I am willing to put time and effort into this community if given the shot, it's just a matter of trust in this phase from the individual who is reading this application. I've been a donor for a short period of time (Almost a month), and I will continue to be a donor whether I become a moderator or not. That's all I have, I appreciate the opportunity and I look forward to the results.
