Yes, I have been punished in the last 60 days. I was given a warning for using an axe while on the LAFD Team inside of Los Angeles, CA. I was unaware that the team was neutral. I did not know you were not able to use an axe while on the LAFD team. I was at the Auto Repair Center inside of Los Angeles, California and had killed a male that was shooting at multiple Law Enforcement Officer's. Upon the staff informing me that I was not under any authorization to be using an axe while on the LAFD team I simply took my warning as a kind gesture. I took this feedback and with it, apologized to both the staff member and the affected parties. Although, I'll leave this situation under the influence that this act will never be done by me again. I have a clip regarding this situation for further evidence with the staff member as well incase of required said evidence.
Have You Had an Application Denied In the Last 90 days?
Yes. I previously was a moderator in DOJ:RP, Sandy Shores. I have moderated a multitude of roleplay games which fall under the same category that both Los Angeles and Perris California fall under but, this one stood out to me. DOJ:RP was entitled to advocating for their community, and giving the necessary opportunities for all players to express themselves in unique and different ways. I gained extensive experience in managing roleplaying scenarios, ensuring community guidelines were followed, and helping maintain a realistic and immersive environment for all players. Furthermore, my experience there helped me build strong skills in conflict resolution.
In addition to my experience with Sandy Shores DOJ:RP, I also served as a moderator in multiple GTA 5 Roleplay communities -- including but not limited to; GTA 5 DVRP, OGVRP, etc. Although I've never really been indulged in the roleplay of GTA 5, I have some former experience in that particular field of work. During that time, I was held responsible for monitoring in-game behavior, handling player reports, and ensuring that all interactions aligned strictly with the community's overall roleplay standards.
Which Mountain Interactive Servers do You Play The Most?
Since I was first introduced to Mountain Interactive, this is before Los Angeles California was created, I've always been intrigued and astonished by how well a pixelated game or however you'd like to put it had come that close to almost feeling like it was real life. And then, Los Angeles, CA was created. I started playing Perris California somewhere between the time of July and September of 2024. Being honest, Perris California at the time was a great stress relief for me. The realistic scenarios and structured roleplay allowed me to express myself in a different way that real life just didn't allow. Making fair decisions and understanding different perspectives helped me build my overall character and achieve my main goal of self respect. Perris California over the years has allowed me to collaborate with other people. In a sense, Perris California has really impacted my life in nothing but positive ways. The experience has not only made me a better perspective given person, but it has also made me more confident and responsible to how I interact with other people in real-life. The experience I've had so far with not only Perris but Mountain Interactive's community as a whole has really made me take into account of how being surrounded by people with my same interests can benefit me. As a player within Mountain Interactive that has went through it's up and downs, I believe I am a great fit for this position. Adding on to this, I've built meaningful connections with some of the players of MI, I've learned how to handle constructive feedback, and I've developed a strong sense of accountability. MI has developed me over these years as a person allowing for me to positively carry my own weight in different designated area's of my life. Perris California hasn't only showed me that it has perseverance; it has also been proven that with the dedication, teamwork, and skills we can make an even bigger impact.
In addition, I take pride in being approachable and easy to work with. I enjoy this game and I think new players should enjoy it and get the benefits as much as I have during the time of my stay in Mountain Interactive. Answering questions and making sure everyone feels safe, welcomed, and respected helps me fulfill my duties as a self-driven person who wishes to create a deeper connection with MI and the Staff. I understand that being a moderator isn't just about enforcing rules, putting a platter on a plate and handing out bans, it's about more than that -- it's about building trust with the community and leading by example. I care deeply about the quality, and integrity the server. Any server. I'm confident in my abilities to be able to contribute positively to the team and help the server continue to grow in a healthy, mature, and respectful manner.
Are you Familiar with Any Current Staff Members?
Yes, Umbaxr. Since the time I met Umbaxr, he's been a huge help towards not only the community but me as well. Umbaxr is aware when to be coordinated, well-orientated and serious when need be. He's shown me that he's not only a excellent Moderator within MI but he is also a great friend. Umbaxr has helped expand my confidence -- even though he may not know it -- to submit this application to this community. Even with complaints and moderation calls I've seen Umbaxr handle, he's proven to be swift and cut to the chase. Overall, I admire Umbaxr's core value's and I hope to continue being great friend's with him.
When are You Usually Able to Moderate?
I am able to Moderate seven days a week from Monday to Sunday. Depending on the time I wake up, previous actions done the day before such as going out with friends or busy with my job, I'm usually online from 1:00 - 11:00 PM every day of the week. I've been sure to check my schedule to ensure it aligns with Mountain Interactive. On the weekends, I'm able to contribute to the project by being online at 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
How would you Handle Rule Breaking?
When it comes to rule-breaking, my approach style has always remained the same -- calm, steady, and evaluating the situation before decided a sequent consequence for each party. For example, let's say a individual is reported for VDM. We're going to call him John. John intentionally rammed into multiple other player's without valid roleplaying beforehand. I would request for them to set aside their roleplaying for the moment, teleporting them to a safe and controlled environment where we're able to have a dialogue concerning the situation. I would review any and all available evidence supporting both of the individuals claims.
We're going to call the reporter, Jackson. Jackson informs me that he was casually roleplaying on the side of the road when John came up and hit him with his vehicle, causing him to die. I would then evaluate the situation after said evidence is shown to me. I'd allow both individuals -- Jackson & John -- to state their sides and conclude themselves a statement. Throughout the process I'd remain neutral, clear, and document the incident for staff records. My goal is to correct the behavior while also ensuring players feel heard, treated fairly, and understood. After confirmation that John broke a community guideline, I would take into consideration of more lenient actions that can be taken -- if this is John's first offense on the topic of VDM. As an example, I could issue John a verbal warning. After that, I would ensure that both parties are satisfied and that there are no longer any other issues that need to be handled. I would be sure to inform the two individuals that this moderation scene should not come between the roleplay experience of the server. Therefor, the moderation scene shouldn't be spoke of again.
Now,
A new day, a new server, and I get a call from a report concerning John again about the same violation -- VDM. I would do the same thing, bringing the two individuals to a isolated location, ensuring it is a safe environment. I would then determine the severity of the situation and evaluate whether or not I need to issue a more strict punishment. If so, it will be carried out. For example, I could issue a ban if VDM is seen to be a repetitive thing for John.
Anything Else you Would Like to Add?
Personal Notes: I think I've already spoken slightly on this topic in one of the sections but, I will adhere the upmost respect to any culture, religion, and sex within the Mountain Interactive Community. I'm stating this because, I've seen some individuals profiling and or racializing. I will hold every individual accountable within the Mountain Interactive Community. I'm looking toward being a future donor to MI once I'm able to get my funds corrected. I'm open to a conversation with whom ever wants to speak with me!
