Does subscription upgrades return to 30 day after upgrade or does it still stay as the the last remaining days as the sub before i upgraded

example : my gold renews on 20th of june if i buy platinum right now which is upgrade does it set back to 30 days or like 20 days if then do i get extra days ( some of my friends told me they bought upgrade for it to renew after 3 days )

The platinum upgrade makes the time you bought it till the renewal date platinum then you have to rebuy it

I would recommend waiting for gold to run out then buy platinum so that you can get the full 30 days.
