Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?
I want to become a moderator because I genuinely care about the Mountain Interactive community and want to contribute to making it a safer, more enjoyable space for everyone. I’ve been playing Mountain Interactive games since the Victor Valley days, and over time, I’ve developed a real passion for the roleplay and structure these servers offer. Being part of the community for so long has made me deeply familiar with the rules, expectations, and culture that make MI what it is today. One of the main reasons I decided to apply is because I’m often active during hours and days when staff presence is very limited or sometimes nonexistent. I’ve noticed that during these low-coverage times, rule-breaking tends to go unchecked, which affects the experience for other players who are trying to enjoy the server legitimately. I want to fill that gap and provide consistent, fair moderation when others can’t be online. I also frequently see that most staff tend to focus only on the biggest server at the top of the list, while smaller servers still active with 15 to 25 players are left completely unattended. I’d make it a priority to rotate through both the large and smaller servers to ensure everyone gets the support and structure they need. I believe I’m a good fit for staff because I’m patient, observant, and level-headed when it comes to handling stressful or chaotic situations. I know how to separate personal feelings from staff responsibilities and would treat each situation fairly regardless of who’s involved. My long history with MI gives me a strong foundation of knowledge, and I know how important it is to uphold the community’s standards while still being approachable and respectful to players. Overall, I’m motivated by a genuine desire to help and improve the community that’s given me so much enjoyment over the years. Becoming a moderator would give me the opportunity to give back, ensure a consistent experience for everyone, and fill the gaps that currently exist in coverage and fairness.

How Would You Handle Rule Breaking?
When it comes to handling rule breaking, I believe in being fair but firm. For first-time offenders, I would usually start with a verbal warning especially if it seems like the player just didn’t understand the rule. Everyone makes mistakes, and I think it’s important to give people a chance to learn and fix their behavior before jumping straight to punishments. That being said, I’d still make sure to explain what rule was broken and what’s expected going forward so it doesn’t happen again. If the same player continues to break rules after being warned, I’d start escalating with more serious actions like a kick or a short ban depending on what they’re doing. At that point, it’s no longer just a misunderstanding, and they need to know their actions have consequences. I’d also make sure to log each situation properly and stay consistent with how I handle it, so it’s fair across the board. For more serious issues like exploiting, harassment, or anything that clearly goes against the core rules, I wouldn’t hesitate to take action right away. That could mean kicking or banning them on the spot depending on what happened, and then reporting it to higher-ups if needed. In those cases, it’s important to act quickly to keep the server safe and enjoyable for others. Overall, my approach is simple: stay calm, follow the guidelines, and make sure the community is treated fairly. I don’t believe in being too harsh, but I also don’t believe in letting people repeatedly break rules and ruin the experience for others. It’s all about keeping a balance and being someone players and staff can trust.

Anything Else We Should Know?
I have some experience with moderation from other communities where I’ve helped keep things organized and fair. I’m familiar with how to handle different types of situations calmly and efficiently. While I’m still learning scripting and development, I’m eager to improve these skills and help out with any technical tasks if needed. I’ve been a donor on and off for about 3 to 4 years, starting back in the Victor Valley days. Supporting Mountain Interactive over such a long time shows my dedication and connection to the community. In terms of skills, I’m very reliable and consistent, and I’m good at communicating clearly with both players and other staff members. I’m also very patient and able to stay calm in tough situations, which I think is really important for any moderator.

Do You Speak Any Languages Other Than English?
I can read and write in both Swedish and Spanish, though I wouldn’t say I’m fully fluent yet.
