Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?

Explain your motivation. This question should be a few paragraphs or more. You may include:

I want to become a moderator because I’m deeply committed to creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for everyone in the Mountain Interactive community. I’ve been part of the community for a while now, and it’s become more than just a game or a server to me—it’s a place where people connect, grow, and have fun. I want to give back to the space that has given me so much by contributing in a more meaningful way.

I decided to apply after seeing a few situations in the community where I felt I could have made a difference—either by de-escalating a conflict, helping someone who felt lost or ignored, or simply being present to reinforce the community’s rules and values. That moment made me realize that I already try to support others informally, and becoming a moderator would allow me to do that more effectively and with the tools needed to really help.

What makes me a strong candidate for this role is a mix of my experience and personality traits. I’m calm under pressure, fair, and empathetic. I’ve moderated smaller communities in the past and know how to handle conflict without letting personal feelings get in the way. I believe in clear communication, leading by example, and treating everyone with respect—even when enforcing rules. I also understand the importance of consistency and discretion in moderation, and I’m not afraid to make tough decisions when necessary.

My history with Mountain Interactive goes back to [insert specific date or time period], and over time I’ve become very familiar with the rules, expectations, and overall tone of the community. I’ve seen it evolve and grow, and I care about keeping it a fun, fair, and inclusive place for everyone. Whether it’s answering questions from new players, reporting issues, or contributing ideas, I’ve always tried to be an active, positive member. Taking on a moderator role feels like the next natural step in that journey.

Ultimately, I’m applying because I care. I want to help because I believe in this community and its potential. I’m ready to invest the time and energy needed to support it and help it thrive.

Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members?
No, Sir.

When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?

My time zone is Eastern Time (EST), as I’m currently located in New Jersey.

I am generally available on the following schedule:

  • Weekdays (Monday–Friday):

    • 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST

  • Weekends (Saturday–Sunday):

    • 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM EST

How Would You Handle Rule breaking?

When dealing with rule breaking, I believe it’s important to stay calm, fair, and consistent. My first step would always be to assess the situation carefully and make sure I fully understand what happened. I would review any evidence available—such as messages, screenshots, or user reports—before taking action. It’s important not to jump to conclusions or act out of emotion.

Anything Else We Should Know?
I bring a combination of community experience, technical interest, and a strong sense of responsibility that I believe would make me a valuable addition to the Mountain Interactive staff team.
Do You Speak Any Languages Other Than English?

I speak English and Twi.
