Which Mountain Interactive Servers Do You Play Most?
I usually prefer Perris, but I am also active in LA. I have positive opinions on both games.
Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?
My experiences in the Mountain Interactive Community have mostly been positive. But there have been multiple downsides as well. I would like to become a moderator to maintain positive interactions, gameplay, and the overall safety and emotional well-being of members. While being an active member of Mountain Interactive I've had my ups and downs. Yes, MI does have its positive attributes and moments. But a main issue can be toxicity and rule breaking. For example, while playing Perris I've encountered multiple situations where tend people break rules and create a negative experience. I do understand T&S is put into place to counter these issues, but there's moments moderators don't respond quickly enough (No joke, I've waited 3 hours just for a moderator to tp to me) or there's no moderators are online. I personally would like to help reduce such issue and create a safer and more positive environment for players, especially newer ones who don't fully understand the fundamentals. Another issue I'd like to address is the amount of alting and v-tos. This can severely impact the experience for our players, especially when there's no one online to prevent it. The well-being and emotions of others has always been a priority to me, and with becoming a member of T&S I believe I could make a bigger impact on our community.
Mountain Interactive has made a huge impact on my life. During the "dull" parts of my life, Perris and LA have allowed me to engage and make dear friends who have not only inspired me but also help me reflect on who I am as a person. I am extremely appreciative because I don't know what I would've done without MI. Both games are extremely fun and can take your mind off of things. Which is crucial to situations where players tend to seek positivity. Ever since I've become a member of MI, I have always wanted to do what's right for others. Especially for instances where people can be at a "low" point. This has influenced me to make sure others can get the same comfort and acknowledgement. Continuing to the experiences in-game. Like I've previously stated, both games are INCREDIBLY fun. This has led me to purchase titanium and renew such membership several times. I will admit, the subscription only enhances the overall experience, but the game is extremely enjoyable even without. Since this amazing community has led me through some tough times, I want to re-pay and ensure others could get the same moments I have had.
What traits do I have? Some key-traits and attributes I have are empathy, honesty, accountability, integrity, and optimism. I strive to be a person people can depend on.
Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members?
Yes, I'm familiar with "ArrowAlpennau". The Staff Member I'm most familiar with would be "MysticMeadow23".
When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?
My timezone is EST. I am available throughout the week, but this can be limited due to finals. All my final exams finish within 1-2 weeks. This doesn't necessarily have much of an impact on my activity.
How Would You Handle Rule breaking?
It depends on the situation. If it's a first offender I would initially teleport them to me and depending on the offense, teach them and make sure they understand the rules and how to report issues so instances like this could be prevented. For a repeated offender, I would teleport them to the staff sit-room and jail them. I would also make sure to refresh and freeze their character to prevent them from glitching. I would always gather the evidence first and then listen to both parties. I will always remain neutral and make sure both sides are heard. Once the evidence is gathered and both sides are heard, I would then explain the circumstances (their record, and number of offenses, etc) and finally, their punishment. I will always make sure to teach offenders and explain how their actions can lead to a negative environment to further prevent issues. Once again, for first and repeated offenders the punishment is always circumstantial. Usually for a first offense I would issue a verbal warning or a warning.
Anything Else We Should Know?
All my prior experiences and traits have been previously listed in the "Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator" question. I have been a titanium donator for months and I believe I have a good understanding on the games and how the players are. Another important trait I have is being open-minded and being able to adapt to situations.
