Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?

I want to become a moderator because I care deeply about fostering a respectful, inclusive, and engaging community. I’ve seen how a well-moderated space can bring people together, encourage thoughtful conversation, and create a safe environment where everyone feels heard. I’m also detail-oriented, fair, and able to stay calm under pressure — qualities that I believe are essential for handling disputes or enforcing rules effectively. I see this as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the community that I’ve benefited from and help it continue to thrive.

Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members?

No

How Would You Handle Rule breaking?

Normally if I do have a moderation run in with a community member who is new and does not understand the violations they committed; I do try to take my time and treat him or her or them with dignity and respect and explain the rules they broke and how they broke the rules. This ensures that they understand the guidelines which I point out and cite each time and where they can be found on the website. To answer the question on how I will handle it and how I will issue a punishment I make my determinations based off of their past history and the severity of the violation its self.
