Have You Been Punished in the Last 60 Days?
Was moderated once for an accidental RDM I'm pretty sure and was joking with a friend in general chat about a rumor of him being part of a certain community that I am part of myself and received a light warning for P-DR because of it.
Have You Had an Application Denied in the Last 90 Days?
I had my previous mod application accepted and had received a session of training from Val before the staff purge.
Were you a previous Staff Member?
Technically no although I was an accepted one and was on the track to becoming a trial mod.
Do You Have a Working Microphone?
Yes
What Country Are You From?
USA
Have You Moderated Other Communities?
I personally have not ever moderated a Roblox game itself however I am experienced in moderating Discord Servers and other smaller groups for other games like in Arma, DCS, and a few others. The largest server/group that I have moderated was about 17-20K active/returning members at the time I resigned.
Which Mountain Interactive Servers Do You Play Most?
Personally I do not like to play LA really at all due to how complicated it is. I do know however that Perris needs a lot more staff dedicated to moderating that game instead due to how many reports there are in Perris compared to LA. I personally am fully dedicated to Perris and am friends/acquaintances with a lot of the active and returning players, and most of the ones that aren't my friends I know a good bit about what they are like and who they are. If I become a moderator I will be almost fully dedicated to Perris due to how understaffed it is and how many other mods are unnecessarily doing their shifts in LA instead because its easier, therefore making the moderators in Perris' job more difficult.
Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?
I have been in the Perris and MI community itself for almost a full year now and have been a very active and reoccurring member. I have also been a donor for most of my time in the community as well.
I have seen a lot of the problems that the staff team faces such as understaffing, people not doing their shifts, extremely high amounts of cases when there are only 2 or 3 moderators in all of the Perris servers, etc.
A lot of the Perris community knows me and a good chunk of those people that I have asked believe that I would be a good fit for The MI Staff Team. I have a fairly large amount of knowledge on how the Staff Team operates already and what certain rule-breaking punishments consist of as I play the game a lot and file a lot of cases. I've also talked with a lot of the staff outside of cases generally speaking and ask questions a lot so I know a lot about how to deal with certain types of people and such. I know a lot of the problems the Staff Team faces and a bit about why and how they are problems for almost all of them. As I stated before I am familiar with a large chunk of the community and a lot of those people respect me and like me. I am pretty familiar with almost all of the main mods that are on shift consistently and get along with them pretty well. I am willing to work hard in my own free time to help the community of MI and Perris grow and overall make it a more enjoyable and fun experience for the players.
Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members?
Since the recent mod purge there's only 2 that are actively mods, Mystic and Watameln. However some of the ones I'm friends with that are most likely re-applying and were mods before are Poke, Val, Maverick, Nikie, Swiss, and a few others. I am acquaintances with a lot of the previous mods and ex-staff however. I know most of them and some of them may or may not remember me, it depends. The following category consists of; Polski, Bolted, Apple, Noobyie, Elitephix, and PlatinumNine.
When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?
EST. I am still in school however so on weekdays/weeknights I'm usually available to moderate from about 4 PM to around 10:30-10:45. On weekends/weekend nights I'm available from around Noon to 2 AM on Saturdays, and on Fridays around 4 PM to 2 AM. I do get out of school though on the 22nd of May which I know is earlier than a lot of other schools in my state and in the country itself. I for sure am having 2 larger vacations this summer for about a week or so each, maybe more however I will let you guys know about those if anything changes and when the dates of leaving are closer.
How Would You Handle Rule breaking?
It all depends on the rule broken and the offender. From watching staff scenes I know a lot about the more common ban times for whatever time offense it is. Some examples are 1st or 2nd time of RDM is warns, then 1 day ban, 3 day ban, 7 and finally a class C perm ban again. Some other common ones I see a lot are FRP which is 3 warnings I'm pretty sure and then a 1 day ban, etc. It's pretty similar to RDM from my knowledge. VTOS of any platform be it Roblox, MI itself, Discord, etc. Is always a permanent ban and usually a Class D one unless they changed it to a Class C at some point and I was unaware of the change. The type of person also plays a large bit in it. The persons record, how they act during the staff scene, their history in the community, and the rule violation itself/what objectively happened, all play major parts in how I handle punishment. This does not change the main important parts about what makes a moderator trustworthy, reliable, and all around a "good moderator". Those being clarity with both the user reporting and the person who's being reported. Having respect for all parties and treating them like they should be expected to act. Consistency no matter who the person is/not being overly-biased in their punishment. Etc.
Anything Else We Should Know?
A large section of the community knows me so there may be some times that I accidentally a minor break a rule without realizing it however this is pretty rare and I usually only ever have it happen with people that I know pretty well. 99% of the time this happens it is when I'm joking about something and didn't realize that I probably shouldn't have said that or didn't read over what I was saying again and how that would affect the receiving party.
Do You Speak Any Languages Other Than English?
English is my primary and first language however I have been learning Russian for a bit over a year and a half now and am pretty fluent at speaking in it however I am best at reading and writing it. I am also starting to learn Slovenian and hopefully Kituba soon however I doubt there are a large amount of Perris players and MI members that primarily speak that language. More common languages like Spanish and French I know certain phrases and root words in, and can hopefully try to dissect the main meaning of what someone is trying to say although I do not speak the languages fluently and do not plan on fully learning them any time soon.
