Instead of sitting around watching people's enjoyment be ruined by others, I like helping others and improving the community. Sometimes the ones destroying the fun just need some guidance. Sometimes all you have to do is guide them in the proper path so they may enjoy themselves as well, since they might not have known that what they were doing was against the game's regulations, etc. Instead of banning and being a cool position, moderation jobs focus more on correcting and assisting the community. Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members? No
When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?
Usually 15-25 hours, I am online every day.
How Would You Handle Rule breaking?
pulls up to a traffic stop in-game, randomly shoots the cop, and drives off. I bring them into the sitroom and introduce myself, just to keep things respectful and chill. Then I explain why they’re here I’m not accusing them, just giving them context. I ask, “Hey, why did you do that?”
If they tell me their side and it turns out they didn’t realize it was against the rules, I’ll ask if they’ve read the in-game rules on the MI website. If they say no, that’s okay—I don’t jump straight to a warning or ban. Instead, I take the time to walk them through the rules, answer any questions they have, and make sure they get what’s expected.
Once they understand everything and feel good about it, I send them back into the game to keep playing. No punishment, just a fair chance to learn. Everyone starts somewhere, and I’d rather teach than penalize right off the bat.
