Yes, I've had two, with my most recent punishment being exactly a month ago today, where i was trolling a group of inconsiderate individuals/trollers who'd been causing havoc in the server for a good hour or two before i began retaliating. My other punishment was when i first started playing. The moderator believed i pointed a gun and an Arab without any RP behind it. This wasn't the case, as the individual had pulled out and reloaded a Glock 19 before putting it away and approaching the group. (not in the mods clip as they were looking in the other direction). From what i can remember, i was immediately banned for Racism + Player Disrespect and wasn't able to explain anything to the moderator. Have You Had an Application Denied in the Last 90 Days?
No.
Were you a previous Staff Member?
Yes.
Do You Have a Working Microphone?
Yes. Although from what I've heard, its pretty cooked, so idk if i need to adjust the settings or get a new audio system all together.. What Country Are You From?
Australia 🌏
Have You Moderated Other Communities?
Yes, back in 2020-2021 i worked for DOJ-RP Sandy Shores as an Administrator/HR. Since then I've moderated a few other smaller communities. (mainly discord servers for games that were being developed)
Which Mountain Interactive Servers Do You Play Most?
Although I do find LA enjoyable, Perris is my go to due to the laid-back & less restrictive style of RP. I've also been playing Perris for longer, so i have a better understanding of how the game works, etc.
Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?
- Some of my motivation for wanting to apply/reinstate is due to the lack of moderation within Perris, especially during 5-11pm AEST. It may just be me, but I find that there is a significant increase in trolling and immaturity during this time which for some reason isn't reported. - When i was previously volunteering, I enjoyed handling website forums and assisting new players. I took pride in creating a welcoming environment by providing clear guidance and answering their questions promptly. - Becoming a moderator will allow me to expand upon my communication and problem solving skills which I will be able to transfer and use in my personal journey.
- Thus far, my experience within Mountain Interactive has been pretty much nothing but a positive experience. Being apart of this community has allowed me to build connections, which have lead to new opportunities and collaborations outside of MI that I'm grateful for. It's a privilege to have a community where you can go to hang out, chat and enjoy time with like minded individuals and hence why I think I'd like to give back, by contributing some of my time to ensuring it stays this way whilst continuing to grow and adapt to the future in a positive way.
- I've been looking to rejoin the staff team for the past month but haven't really pushed to do so until now as I didn't want to go through the whole interviewing, onboarding and training process.
- I'm a polite and patient individual with a strong work ethic and a strive for perfection. Previously, I've been able to successfully manage the Internal Affairs Department, enforcing guidelines and providing a clear attention to detail when handling both staff & member reports on the website.
Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members?
Yes, there were a few until a couple hours ago.
A few fine individuals of whom I'm still familiar with!! FarmerDan, Rocky, Valenzuela, Snipe, Cruz, Haydz, Len, Kai. When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?
Australian Eastern Standard/Daylight Time. Weekdays, I'm generally able to get online around 5-6pm and would get off around 10ish. Although it would be possible for me to check in on the discord and website throughout the day. On weekends I'm pretty flexible and therefor could put in more time to help with the influx of players.
How Would You Handle Rule breaking?
I believe in taking an educational approach to first time offenders, as In the past, I've seen more success in getting a message across to an individual than immediately issuing a punishment. Taking that 5 minutes extra to have a respectful & constructive conversation with someone makes a huge difference. With repeat offenders, Issuing a punishment in accordance with the guide in addition to the educational approach would be my course of action. Being respectful, polite and informative will assist in building yourself a solid reputation, which in the long-term will gain you the individuals trust and consideration. Obviously if someone continues to be flat out disrespectful, rude and inconsiderate of others, they will receive a heavier punishment.
