I have also led my own USMC, NYPD and Australian Defence Force groups.
Which Mountain Interactive Servers Do You Play Most?
I mostly play Los Angeles however if there is not enough staff to moderate Perris like I have heard I can also contribute to Perris.
Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?
I'm putting my expression of interest forward to become an MI moderator as I have seen how close this community can be, people who have never met each other have been brought together under one community and can share their experiences and ideas with others. Although LA and Perris are games, they build real experiences like how to manage conflict, how to deal with stressful situations, and directing people on the right path to become emergency service workers. I want to be able to contribute something extra to protect that community, like being able to moderate servers and guide people on the right path again.
I love interacting with others because every interaction gives you something, whether new knowledge or a new friend. I currently have the one-year role in the MI server and have made my way through LAPD, becoming a Lt. I—Commanding Officer LAPD K9, where I get to give my experience and guidance to those under me. I also received my 35-week service stripes.
Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members?

When Are You Usually Available to Moderate?
The main times I would be available to moderate is 7AM AEST - Midnight or later. I'm available to moderate most time zones as I have a varying sleep pattern, but again I can contribute more to the time zones that actually needs more moderation presence.
How Would You Handle Rule breaking?
The result of handling rule breakers varies pretty drastically from case to case. Some factors that would sway the result is the severity of rule breaking, if they have been moderated in the past and if it was done with purpose or by mistake.
First time rule breakers are usually new members of our community, so to bring a heavy moderation outcome on them is not ideal as it tarnishes our image. A simple explanation of what they did wrong and how they can avoid it in future goes a long way and bring a positive image on MI that says they look out for their new members.
Repeat offenders are not always someone who purposefully goes out to break the rules. They might be a younger person who may just be immature and needs some extra support to sway them to following the rules. However the outcome of genuine repeat offenders rests on factors such as if if they are remorseful, the severity of the action and their history.
