This is about our Dispatch teams that are mildly lacking in gameplay use/features

Perris, California

  • Perris Dispatch does not have the Ability to Create Calls, manage calls or Assign units

  • Perris Dispatch does not have the ability to Clear or Open 911 calls

  • Perris Dispatch Cannot Run in-game Vehicle Registrations (Plates)

  • Perris CAD/Dispatch doesn't allow officers to see Calls inside MDT/Computer

Los Angeles, California

  • LA Dispatch doesn't have the ability to start 911 calls

  • LA dispatch doesn't have the ability to Assign Units to Calls

  • LA Dispatch does not have the Ability to bring units Online/Offline

  • LA Dispatch unable to assign a call type or location in current call system

  • LA Dispatch/CAD allows officers to clear/delete open "Traffic Stop" calls (the current system) at will and is abused often even when the call isn't cleared

I've had multiple people close MDT calls for no reason only to abuse the feature.

If some of these features were added/fixed at the minimum of 1 from each game it would extremely improve

dispatching realism and roleplay for Players.

  • Perris Dispatch/MDT unable to run License Plates as Dispatch to give units returns while on traffic stops

  • LA Dispatch/MDT Officers ability to clear current call calls that Dispatch or Other officers make and this is abused often

I just sincerely want to improve dispatching for MI Games.

I've used a system called Southern Software (CAD, JMS, RMS) before and want to integrate minor features to bring some realism.

thank you 🙏

I feel like i agree with the assigning calls, as this would make dispatch more fun instead of just watching and responding and waiting for calls, etc as the only fun thing they can do is watch CCTV Cameras and create Emergency Broadcast Warnings. I feel like perris & los angele's dispatch should get a complete remake and have amazing opportunities as this would make more dispatch lovers have amazing power and fun on the team.

I agree with this suggestion I can say i played as dispatch and its sorta not fun without the stuff mentioned in the above post. I also agree with this post how it will make roleplay for dispatch more fun and better! this could also make being on LEO more fun as someone playing as dispatch can make the player feel like they are larping as actual law enforcement but in roblox! assigning calls and deleting calls is also a good features because whenever i play as LEO theres many old old 911 calls and it kinda sorta gets irritating!

I don't play LA really at all so I cannot comment on the dispatch experience in there, however I do actively play Perris a lot and I can confirm that the dispatch gameplay in there is lacking a lot. A lot of these ideas are very good but I would say the most important thing is to make dispatch more fun to play as. The main reason people don't play as dispatch is because there isn't really much to do that's fun. 90% of the gameplay is either tracking units on the map, asking them to go to certain scenes or assign them certain duties, doing background checks on license plates when asked to (which isn't a lot and I'm pretty sure they can't), and watching bodycams. A lot of these ideas are very good however a big part of helping out dispatch is with the boots on the ground units. Assigning bodycams to everyone regardless of what they are wearing is very important. There are a large amount of jobs in the game that simply do not have a bodycam spawner, some examples being; FBI, USMS, Caltran's (I know they don't really count as an LEO team but they still have radios and work with LEO), SRU, and AMR/FD. Simply giving units bodycams off spawn or if they put on a vest or bodycam accessory like for RCSO, would make it a lot easier for dispatch to track what units are doing. Giving them the ability to track license plates or put warrants out for people online would also be very cool. I know they removed the feature of finding peoples RP name just from their username and them being nearby but for certain jobs like FBI and Dispatch I feel like they should be able to find out someone's RP name online for if they are planning unlawful activity, admitting to unlawful activity, etc. Also making it so there are two separate CADs like one in the car and one on your person with only the car one being able to read license plates would make dispatch and other units in their car's a lot more useful. Another thing mentioned in here that I like is assigning certain units to certain calls. Especially in servers where there are a lot of civilians causing chaos and there's no mod online to turn on PT, assigning units to certain radio frequencies and calls would be a lot easier on everyone. Especially since they won't have to constantly yelling at each other on radio to break or clear the air.

This is my personal opinion on the matter and my thoughts on the suggestions, thank you for reading. -Kosov/Scooty

I completely agree with everything mentioned here. Dispatch currently feels very limited and underdeveloped, especially compared to how crucial it should be for supporting in-game law enforcement and roleplay.

The lack of basic features like creating, managing, and assigning calls really holds dispatchers back from doing their jobs properly. It also makes it difficult for officers to rely on dispatch for important info, which breaks immersion. Dispatch should be a core backbone for coordination, not just a passive element.

A few things that could also be added:

  • Better Call Ownership: Only dispatchers (or the officer assigned to the call) should be able to clear or close calls to stop abuse.

  • Live Call Updates: Dispatch should be able to update call details live (changing address, situation updates, etc.) and units should see those changes instantly.

  • Vehicle/Plate/License Lookup for Dispatch: Dispatchers should have a lookup database they can use during traffic stops to give returns without needing officer input.

  • Unit Status Control: Dispatch should have the ability to set officers as "Available," "Busy," "Out of Service," etc., to better track who can respond.

  • 911 Queue Management: Dispatchers should be able to see and prioritize incoming 911 calls so that they can dispatch the right resources.

Southern Software’s CAD, Sonora CAD, JMS, and RMS systems are excellent examples of how a small amount of added control can make dispatching much more realistic and functional without overwhelming the system.

Adding even a few of these features would massively improve roleplay and player satisfaction. Thanks for bringing this up

That is wonderfully noted. I have heard of the Spillman Software but haven't seen it and obviously the data systems CAD, JMS, and RMS are a subset of each software system for those who don't know.

Citizens should be able to actually call 911 and dispatch can converse by either typing or by voice chat

I agree with everything you said @Valenzuela253 . 100% with the Perris Dispatch Plate check. When i used to be in Dispatch i would like to do plate checks but would always forget that its not there. I hope we can get this fixed!

Also in the mdt we should have a map that shows where the calls are located and where all emergency services officers are at (ERLC idea based)

Dispatch has that feature already, no plan to bring it to officers.

Something i thjnk they should do is, make it so if someone creates a report of a stolen vehicle they'd search the plate and it would say "Vehicle is stolen proceed with caution." with a sound playing (Client sided - Instead of server sided as the player could hear it the instanty run away).
