1. Introduction
Welcome to Los Angeles, California, an immersive roleplaying game where players can experience the hustle and bustle of city life. This rulebook is designed to maintain a fair and enjoyable environment for all. Please adhere to these rules to ensure the community thrives.
2. General Rules
Respect All Players: Treat everyone with respect, both in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC). Bullying, harassment, or toxic behavior is prohibited.
No Exploits or Hacking: The use of any third-party software, glitches, or exploits to gain an unfair advantage is not allowed and will result in an immediate ban.
Follow Roblox’s Guidelines: Ensure your actions comply with Roblox’s terms of service and community standards.
No Spamming: Refrain from spamming the chat or actions that disrupt other players’ experiences.
3. Roleplaying Rules
Stay In Character: Players must remain in character at all times while roleplaying. If you need to communicate OOC, use the designated brackets (( )) to separate it from in-game conversations.
Realistic Roleplay: All roleplay must align with the modern-day, realistic setting of Los Angeles. Avoid fantasy or supernatural elements unless part of a special event.
No Powergaming: Do not force actions on other players without giving them a chance to respond. Example: You cannot dictate another player’s reaction to your actions without their consent.
No Metagaming: Do not use OOC information to influence in-character decisions. Keep OOC knowledge and IC actions separate.
4. Traffic and Vehicle Rules
Follow Traffic Laws: All in-game traffic rules must be followed. This includes obeying speed limits, stop signs, and traffic signals.
No Reckless Driving: Recklessly driving or intentionally crashing into other players disrupts the roleplay experience and is not allowed unless part of a specific scenario.
Emergency Vehicles: Only authorized roleplayers can use emergency vehicles (police cars, ambulances, fire trucks). Misuse will result in warnings or bans.
5. Economy and Job Roleplay
Job Performance: When roleplaying in specific jobs (such as police officer, firefighter, business owner), carry out your duties realistically and fairly.
No Job Abuse: Do not use your job role (e.g., law enforcement) to unfairly target other players or benefit yourself. Proper roleplay and procedure should always be followed.
Business Ownership: Players can open and operate businesses. However, all business dealings must follow the rules of fair play. Scamming or false deals will lead to penalties.
6. Criminal Roleplay (CRP) Guidelines
Realistic Crimes Only: Criminal activities should be realistic. Avoid excessive or outlandish crimes that could disrupt the balance of the game (e.g., mass shootings, bombings). Stick to small-scale crimes like robberies, car thefts, or drug deals.
Consent for Major Crimes: Larger crimes (bank heists, kidnapping, etc.) should be discussed and approved by all involved players beforehand. This ensures a fair and balanced roleplay.
Crime Limits: Limit the frequency of your criminal activities. Constant criminal behavior can disrupt the flow of the game for others and will result in administrative action.
Weapons Use: Stick to realistic weapons for the setting. Military-grade weapons or explosives are not allowed unless part of an authorized event.
No Random Killings (RDM): Players cannot randomly kill others without reason or outside of roleplay. All actions must fit the ongoing storyline or character development.
7. Law Enforcement Roleplay
Follow Protocol: Police officers must follow proper roleplay procedures during investigations, arrests, and patrols. No shortcuts or powergaming allowed.
Fair Arrests: Give criminals a fair chance to roleplay out their actions. Don’t instantly arrest or kill players without allowing them to respond.
Jail Sentences: Jail times should be proportional to the crime committed. Excessive jail time will ruin the experience for others and is not allowed.
8. Roleplay Events
Special Events: The game will host organized events from time to time (festivals, crime sprees, etc.). Different rules may apply during these events, which will be communicated in advance.
Event Participation: While participating in events is optional, it’s encouraged for added immersion and fun.
9. Rule Enforcement and Punishments
Warnings: Players who break minor rules will receive a warning. Repeat offenses may result in further action.
Temporary Bans: Serious offenses or repeated violations may lead to temporary bans.
Permanent Bans: Extreme rule-breaking, such as exploiting, hacking, or continuous harassment, can lead to permanent bans.
Appealing a Ban: Players can appeal bans by contacting an admin with valid reasons. Appeals will be reviewed case by case.
10. Reporting Rule Violations
If you witness a player breaking the rules, report them to the game moderators with evidence (e.g., screenshots or video). All reports will be taken seriously and investigated.
