I have been an active user for just over a year now in both Perris and LA. I see myself as a dedicated member willing to go above and beyond to help this community thrive. I bring respectfulness, professionalism, as well as great communication and conflict resolution skills. I would love a future in keeping the MI community safe and fun for all users. What skills or qualities do you have that would make you a valuable member of the staff team?I have outstanding professionalism, communication skills, conflict resolution, and problem solving skills that would allow me to make correct decisions under pressure while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude towards members.Have you been involved in any other communities or teams? If so, please list them and describe your role:I have not.How would you handle a conflict between two community members? In case of a conflict between two community members, there are several steps to resolve it effectively. Firstly, it is to listen to both parties’ stories and perspectives on what happened before taking any action. Make sure that both parties are heard and respectful through the interaction and from there deciding whether action should be taken such as a ban or warning in case of certain activities like RDM or such. If mediation can resolve the conflict, then myself or other staff member(s) could help calm down the two members and discuss solutions.Describe a time you had to solve a difficult problem in a leadership or team role:A time when I had to solve a difficult problem in a team role was when I was serving with the U.S. Marshals in LA, my partner and I were attempting to apprehend a suspect who had just shot two people at domino’s. We had to coordinate with LAPD and LASD to develop a plan to canvas the area and apprehend the suspect in the residential area by hospital. My partner and I secured the exit near ARCO while LAPD surrounded the area and cleared the gun store. Thanks to our coordination and communication efforts, the suspect was apprehended safely without any further harm to LEO or civilians. This experience helped me develop my teamwork, decision-making under pressure, and adaptability. How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple responsibilities? My system for prioritizing tasks when managing multiple responsibilities involves several steps. Firstly, you pay close attention to the priority of tasks by assessing their urgency, importance, and impact. I typically start by identifying tasks that have deadlines or are crucial, using the Eisenhower Matrix to categorize my tasks into ‘urgent and important’ versus ‘less critical.’ I also stay organized by using checklists or calendars to keep everything in order. I describe myself as meticulous and very detail oriented in all my work. If new issues arise, I try to remain flexible and adjust priorities as necessary while maintaining communication with other team members. What do you think is the most important value for a Mountain Interactive Staff member to uphold, and why?I think the most important value for a Mountain Interactive Staff member to uphold is fairness. As a staff member, ensuring all players are treated equally and that rules are applied consistently to all members is essential to keeping the game experience enjoyable. Fairness helps build trust in our community. By being impartial and making decisions based on clear evidence, we can help keep the community safe and make sure everyone has an equal opportunity. How would you support and encourage new members of the community? The best way to support newcomers is to be welcoming. This includes greeting them, answering questions, and helping explain the rules and features of the game(s). It’s also helpful to connect them with resources and encourage them to participate in the community through the games or discord as well as joining a team like LAPD. Being approachable, patient, and supportive is crucial to helping new members become participants in the community. What are your long-term goals, and how does being part of Mountain Interactive align with them?Currently, my long-term goals are to develop my professional skills as I approach graduation. I am planning on joining a police academy after completing high school and becoming an officer myself. Being a part of MI aligns with these goals not only gives me the opportunity to contribute to a team but also to learn from my mistakes, help develop my conflict resolution and teamwork skills, and help maintain a fair and enjoyable experience for all users. Are there any areas within the community you feel need improvement? If so, what ideas do you have to address them?I believe that joining the community is pretty hard for new users, learning the mechanics, the set of rules, etc. Especially if they have never been in a FiveM or similar game environment before. I believe possibly a brief tutorial for new users would be helpful just to set clear guidelines and explain a few mechanics like car spawning, gun mechanics, laws, rules on like RDM, and countless other things.AgreementBy submitting this application, I confirm that:All information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge.I understand that any false information may result in immediate disqualification or removal from the staff team.Signature: JoeDate: 12/29/2024 Edited December 30, 2024Dec 30 by SpixyBreathMints
