To ensure that all player reports are handled fairly, efficiently, and with integrity, all users must adhere to the following rules when submitting and participating in a report. Failure to follow these procedures may result in your report being denied or disciplinary action being taken against your account.
1. Use the Official Format Correctly To ensure your report can be processed, you must use the official Player Report Form template exactly as provided. Do not modify the structure, add custom colors, change text alignments, or otherwise alter the format. Keep it simple and clean. Reports that do not use the correct format will be closed.
2. Report Thread Participation is Restricted To maintain the integrity of the investigation and focus on factual evidence, only individuals directly involved in the reported incident (i.e., the original reporter and the accused user) and the handling staff member(s) may reply to the report thread.
All other replies will be deleted.
Users who post in a report they are not involved in will receive a formal warning. This rule applies to all community members, including staff who are not assigned to the case.
3. Reports Must Be Filed Directly You may not report an incident on behalf of another person, regardless of the circumstances. The report must be submitted by a direct victim or a direct witness of the rule violation.
4. No "+Support" or Vouching Player reports are formal investigations, not suggestion threads or applications. Their outcome is determined by verifiable evidence, not by community opinion.
Replies consisting only of "+support," "-support," "vouch," or similar statements are prohibited and will be removed.
Attempting to rally support for or against a report is considered disruptive behavior.
5. All Communication Must Remain On-Topic The report thread must be used exclusively for providing evidence and testimony directly related to the incident in question. Do not start other discussions, engage in personal arguments, or post content that is not relevant to the report. Off-topic replies will be removed.
6. Provide All Required Information Your report must be complete to be considered. Reports with missing information, such as an incomplete or missing Discord Username & ID for the reporter, may be closed without further action. Please double-check that you have filled out all required fields accurately.
7. Submit Reports in a Timely Manner Incidents should be reported within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 72 hours of when they occurred. Reports submitted long after an incident may be denied at the discretion of the staff, as logs may no longer be available and evidence can become difficult to verify.
8. Use Approved Platforms for Evidence For the security of our staff and community, we will not download files or open links from unapproved sources. All evidence (video clips, screenshots, etc.) must be hosted on one of the following platforms:
https://streamable.com/
https://youtube.com/
https://vimeo.com/
https://gyazo.com/
https://imgur.com/
https://medal.tv/
Evidence from any other source will not be reviewed. Ensure your links are public and not set to private.
9. Honesty and Integrity All information you provide must be truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submitting a deliberately false, misleading, or malicious report is a serious offense and will result in disciplinary action against your account.
10. Staff Discretion is Final The Mountain Interactive staff team reserves the right to lock, close, or otherwise manage any report thread at their sole discretion. The final decision and any resulting disciplinary action are determined by the staff and are not subject to community debate.
