Additional Questions

  1. Why do you want to join the Mountain Interactive Staff Team?
I have wanted to become a moderator for Mountain Interactive since I have joined, I have always adored the moderators and admins in Mountain Interactive and what they do. I feel I would contribute very well to Mountain Interactive’s moderation team, and I would bring a role model to the team. The job and how it is done really excites me, I like problem-solving and teamwork and from what I’ve seen, it is used a lot in the moderation for Mountain Interactive. I have a lot of free time recently and I haven’t been able to burn it off, so this role would be very good to fill that free space. Also I hope to make some new friends as well while working for Mountain Interactive. Expanding a bit on the motivation part, I have had really good experiences while moderating for other police community games, and I’m hoping that I will have an even better experience working here.

  2. What skills or qualities do you have that would make you a valuable member of the staff team?
I am really good with working with uncompliant people, and other members of a group to solve something. I am also really good at calming down/resolving arguments or heated conversations. I usually know how to pull people that aren’t doing the right thing back into line, and take necessary action if required.

  3. Have you been involved in any other communities or teams? If so, please list them and describe your role:
I was a moderator for a private ER:LC server, and numerous over ER:LC servers.

  4. How would you handle a conflict between two community members?
I would take each side, and then evaluate what the issue is and how it can be solved and pulling them into place, I will take action is required

  5. Describe a time you had to solve a difficult problem in a leadership or team role:
There was a really big issue with someone DDoS’ing one of the ER:LC servers I moderated, I managed to fix the issue even though it was very tough to. I also had a group of mass exploiters once which myself and 2 other moderators managed to solve and calm down.

  6. How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple responsibilities?
I am not really good at managing time, I am working on getting better at it. I sit down and put each task on a list, I rank them hardest/worst to easiest/best, I usually start with the harder ones first and then I get to the easier situations.

  7. What do you think is the most important value for a Mountain Interactive Staff member to uphold, and why?
That no staff member should take one persons side and stick to it, I have had a lot of experiences in the past with biased and unjust punishments, even in Mountain Interactive. I have learnt from those and have decided to make sure that I will never be biased or unjust, and hopefully get other people to be the same.

  8. How would you support and encourage new members of the community?
I will make moderation seem like a hobby more than a job, I will make it look enjoyable so more people will hopefully put in applications. I will welcome everyone with respect and compassion, I will never be unwelcoming.

  9. What are your long-term goals, and how does being part of Mountain Interactive align with them?
My long term goals outside of MI is to go to university, be a nerd and study astronomy. Mountain Interactive will help with that by teaching me how to work even better in a group, how to deal with serious situations and lots of tasks at once.

  10. Are there any areas within the community you feel need improvement? If so, what ideas do you have to address them?
I feel that the general members could be a lot better.
