If you open carry a firearm its illegal meaning if people can see it is illegal. But if the pistol is hidden then its legal.

Open carry is illegal according to the Ventura Compiled Laws (Outdated).
Any firearm is legal, as long as it is not openly displayed/carried/brandished without an valid reason (valid reasons could be: self defense, post-incident, etc)
