I am on almost every day that I can be, including the late nights. This would benefit everyone, as some mods are not on during the preferred hours that I am on. I also enjoy the game and have been here for over a year. I have the ability to perform and excel at this job and would like a chance to prove myself and help better the community on a daily basis. I have the ability to help whenever I am needed, and I have a pretty strong standing within the player base of LA. I am a community figure within the LAPD, and I believe that this would help boost connections between the moderation team and the player base gap. I would like to help make this community the best it can possibly be. I have fun playing this game and would like to help those that may need it the most. What skills or qualities do you have that would make you a valuable member of the staff team?I have leadership skills, communication, and dedication, and I strive to be the best I can be and better myself whenever needed. I have the ability to communicate my opinions thoroughly and without prejudice. I learn to listen before I speak and get the best out of situations when presented with an issue.Have you been involved in any other communities or teams? If so, please list them and describe your role:Yes, I have been involved in numerous communities in game and Discord moderation included. I was a moderator for Fitz’ Hotel for the popular YouTuber between 2019 and 2020. I was previously a moderator for Trident Survival, which is a popular Rust-style Roblox game. In which I dealt with in-game reports upwards of 100+ a day, not including ticket moderations. I have experience within LAPD in which I am a lieutenant and a command member in SOB.How would you handle a conflict between two community members?I would first let them know to calm down, as the issue doesn’t need to continue any further. I would also like to get both sides of the story so I can get a better understanding of what is happening and how to properly deal with the individuals. If they refused to listen, I would give them the proper punishment set out by the guidelines.Describe a time you had to solve a difficult problem in a leadership or team role:One time I was on scene of a MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) where a member of my family was pinned in their vehicle. I had to make the decision as a member of my cities fire department on which way we were going to extricate. This was difficult due to the fact that this is again, my family member. In which I had other family members watching me do my job. I wanted to preserve my brother’s safety while preserving the welfare of my mother who was watching. How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple responsibilities?I prioritize tasks based on what’s the most important at the time. I would thrive to get the most imperative action done first and move down the line. I would think of what would affect people the most if I didn’t do that specific thing, and how I would move forward on going down the ladder. What do you think is the most important value for a Mountain Interactive Staff member to uphold, and why?I believe that transparency is a great value for staff to have. You need to be able to listen to both sides, even if the incident happened to you. You cannot be quick to judgment; no matter what, you should be open to opinions and criticism. You should be able to be someone that is trusted to do the right thing even if it may cause you to lose something. How would you support and encourage new members of the community?I would start by helping them with whatever they need. I would stick my neck out for them and allow them to experience all sides of the community without scrutiny. I would encourage them to try new things even if they think they may be bad at it. For example, getting new players to try out PD although they may think they can’t do it. I would want them to experience it to further improve the community’s relations and help it thrive. What are your long-term goals, and how does being part of Mountain Interactive align with them?I would like to be in this community for a great period of time. I have been here for over a year now and have enjoyed most of my time here. I would like to branch out and improve my relations and standing within the community. And joining the staff team would give me a boost in exploring new parts of the community I have yet to witness. Are there any areas within the community you feel need improvement? If so, what ideas do you have to address them?I would say the gap between staff and the community. Some members feel like staff don’t really care and are there just for the perks. I believe that by speaking more to the community i.e hosting events, or just even spending time out and about would help boost the popularity.AgreementBy submitting this application, I confirm that:All information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge.I understand that any false information may result in immediate disqualification or removal from the staff team.Signature (type your name here): ColeRejuDate: 12/20/2024 Edited Friday at 10:37 AM1 day by ColeReju grammar mistakes
