Staff Member Who Banned You (optional) "assetstring"
What Happened? Mr. Assetstring was driving his hellcat when he did a turn and drifted his car and crashed into a city owned lightpole. I then pulled up infront of him to do a felony stop as that is clearly reckless driving. As soon as i do so, he moves his car towards me as i try to brake and we end up colliding. i then accelerate towards him again to close the distance which is when he ALSO Moves forward and causes another small collision. I then get out of my car, drawing my weapon to do a felony stop and i tell him to get out. He got out, initially complying and seeming to roleplay, but once i tackled and grabbed him, he turned on his staff force field and put me in the Moderator Cage. After that we argued for about 10 minutes straight which is when he released me from the jail, but my camera then went under the map, and after a few minutes i got the Roblox Account Log in Warning and was kicked from the game. Once i rejoined, i saw i was banned for 5 whole days for FRP and TA.
Ban Reason (as shown in the ban message) Tool Abuse, Failure to Roleplay
Why Should You Be Unbanned? - First of all, Fail Roleplay simply does not apply to myself. FRP, or Fail Roleplay is defined by the Rulebook as, and i quote "Actions that break immersion or make no sense (e.g., ignoring major injuries, unrealistic escapes) are considered Fail RP." This simply didnt apply, i pulled up to the front of the vehicle to prevent him from fleeing. I then aimed my gun at him as this is normal for a felony stop and arrested him for reckless driving. (Drifting and crashing into a Light Pole and then backing up like nothing happened). As a matter of fact, he ignored a 40mph Collision with a street lamp, which would apply to FRP in this case, but i digress.
- The entire reason he was stopped was because he drifted and ran into a street pole and started backing up, which would be Reckless Driving. A Felony in the state of ventura, justifying a felony stop. While i attempted to stop him, he also drives forward into me, even though he says i rammed him twice, which isnt true from my Point of View. All in all, what was supposed to be a felony arrest was turned into a whole incident over a misunderstanding and the staff member maybe not being experienced with law enforcement.
- The Staff member also immediately turned on his force field and didnt even think to roleplay it out when he got in cuffs. He went out of character for no reason, which constitutes FRP under the "Staying in Character" rule, defined as "You must remain in-character (IC) at all times. Finish the RP scene even if a rule is broken and report it afterward". He put no effort in his messages whilst turning his staff Forcefield on, showing Zero Intention to Roleplay the scene post detainment.
- I also did not "Abuse my Tools", i blocked the suspects pathway with my vehicle, which is done by law enforcement commonly during these stops, causing 2 (very small) collisions as he also accelerated forwards whilst i was infront of him with my emergency lights and sirens on.
- Both Cited Rule Violations simply do not apply, i initiated a felony stop for reckless driving, arrested him, and was banned after he turned on his forcefield and caged me, not even thinking twice before doing so. I believe the moderation decision came from Poor judgement through Emotions.
- the Clip below is my point of view, which is significantly longer than the Clip used to ban me, it includes the staff member in question immediately turning on his Force Field and not bothering to roleplay the scene. (which wasnt included in the clip used to ban me), As you can see in the clip, the staff member was screaming in all caps, and it seems his decision may have been clouded through strong emotions as i said earlier.
Thank you for taking your precious time to read my Appeal, it was a long read but i hope this gives you a better understanding of my view and the reason as to why i should be unbanned. I do enjoy this game, its a good time killer to larp for a few hours and this ban is unnecessary and formed through poor judgement and emotional turmoil.
