Incident Description*:
While on duty, I saw a backup request from unit 3H88 over the radio. I immediately asked for more information but received no response. Due to the nature of the call and potential risk to the trooper safety, I made the decision to respond Code 3 to assist.
Upon arriving at the location, I did not see any active scene or suspects. Suddenly, an unmarked vehicle initiated a traffic stop on me. The occupants identified themselves as two members of the Sheriff’s Department, claiming I was speeding.
I explained my actions and provided proof (screenshot of my vehicle with ELS on as they requested "CHECK IMAGE 1/2"). Despite this, they refused to release me of the stop.
I then requested SBI to intervene on scene. They arrived but offered little assistance. The situation ultimately ended with me receiving the following citations "CHECK IMAGE 4":
Unsafe Driving of an Emergency Vehicle
Misuse of Emergency Lights
1. Unsafe Driving of an Emergency Vehicle: I was operating my emergency vehicle within the legal and procedural limits of a Code 3 response. My driving was consistent with emergency protocols, with lights and sirens active, and was only initiated after a backup request was made over the radio. Responding urgently to an officer’s call for help cannot reasonably be classified as “unsafe” when proper emergency signals were used and traffic laws for emergency responses were observed.
2. Misuse of Emergency Lights: The emergency lights were activated solely for the purpose of responding to an active backup call. This is a valid and appropriate use of emergency equipment, as outlined in standard operating procedures. There was no personal or unauthorized use of the lights only a justified emergency response to a fellow unit requesting assistance and that did not answer my calls on the radio for further information on the backup request.
The actions of the two Sheriff’s Department players appear to be unreasonable and possibly motivated by personal bias, as they disregarded clear evidence and standard emergency response policy. Additionally, the lack of cooperation from other units on scene further escalated the situation unnecessarily.
I am requesting staff review this situation, including any available radio logs and bodycam/server footage, to address the conduct of the involved players and to void the unjust citations. They made several claims against me, but claims require proof. I presented my side and proved everything I stated, while everything they claimed I countered with evidence. At one point, they even claimed that 3H88 was not present "CHECK IMAGE 2/3", and that I had not told them anything. I purposely did not reveal my proof of 3H88’s presence in that moment to allow staff to see their bias firsthand.
Thank you for your time and assistance in maintaining fairness on the server.
Rules Violated*:
🔹General Player Rules (Applies to All Players)
Fail RP – Any action that breaks immersion or does not make sense within the RP world is considered Fail RP. ➤ They issued citations without valid IC evidence or probable cause (e.g., claiming speeding with no proof, ignoring radio traffic logs), that is unrealistic and immersion breaking.
Trolling & Disruption – Any deliberate disruption of gameplay, including intentionally ruining roleplay or baiting players, is prohibited. ➤ Pulling me over with no valid reason after a Code 3 call, while refusing to acknowledge my evidence, could be seen as baiting or disrupting legitimate RP.
Powergaming – Forcing actions on others without giving them a fair chance to respond. ➤ Issuing citations despite being presented with proof to the contrary is powergaming because it removes a fair chance to resolve the scene realistically.
Metagaming / Bias – Players must remain in character and cannot use OOC motives or bias to influence IC actions. ➤ If their behavior was motivated by personal dislike or OOC grudges (e.g., targeting me because they are on this game from a long ago, sort of arrogancy), that violates the bias/realism standard.
🔹Law Enforcement-Specific Rules
(These are critical since the deputies were LEOs.)
[4] Code of Conduct – Law Enforcement
Professionalism – LEOs must maintain the highest level of professionalism and avoid personal bias in all decisions. ➤ Their dismissive behavior, ignoring proof, and continuing the stop despite evidence strongly suggest bias and lack of professionalism.
Abuse of Power – LEOs may not use their authority to gain unfair advantages, harass players, or issue tickets/fines without RP justification. ➤ Writing citations without verifiable evidence and ignoring my valid counterproof fits this directly.
Public Image & Civilians – Officers must treat civilians respectfully at all times. ➤ Refusing to acknowledge the evidence and making baseless claims shows poor public conduct.
Equal Enforcement of Laws – All players must be treated equally; selective enforcement is misconduct. ➤ Claiming “3H88 was not there” and ignoring the evidence while pressing false charges shows selective/bias enforcement.
Escalation Control – LEOs must avoid unnecessarily escalating situations and should de-escalate first. ➤ Continuing to cite me after I prooved instead of de-escalating is an escalation violation.
[5] Arrest & Detainment Rules – Law Enforcement
Probable Cause Requirement – All arrests and detainments must be based on valid, verifiable IC probable cause. ➤ Pulling me over for alleged speeding with no speed evidence is a direct violation.
Rights & Information – Officers must clearly inform suspects of the reason for detainment and the actions that led to it. ➤ They failed to provide clear reasoning beyond vague claims, this applies.
False Charges – Adding false or fabricated charges without staff-approved corruption RP is a severe violation. ➤ Issuing citations for “unsafe driving of emergency vehicle” and “misuse of emergency lights” when I was on a legitimate Code 3 call.
Evidence Requirements – Charges and detainments should be backed by IC evidence whenever possible. ➤ They apparently had no radar, video, or credible evidence to prove speeding or anything else.
Release Procedures – If probable cause is lost during detainment (e.g., evidence disproves a claim), the suspect must be released immediately. ➤ I provided proof countering their claims, but they continued anyway and SBI did not stop this.
[8] Role Responsibilities – Emergency Services
Professional Conduct ➤ Deputies are expected to remain professional and unbiased. ➤ Their refusal to acknowledge the evidence, their insistence on false claims, and their biased statements (“3H88 was not here”) breach the requirement to maintain professionalism and neutrality.
Coordination with Other Agencies ➤ Law enforcement must coordinate clearly and communicate with other units during active incidents. ➤ They ignored your radio traffic and the backup call from 3H88, failing to verify facts before taking enforcement action.
[9] Scene Management – Emergency Services
Scene Command Compliance ➤ Deputies must follow proper scene command and ensure facts are verified before issuing charges. ➤ Instead, they bypassed communication and escalated the scene despite the proof and the SBI presence that didn't help but authorized the issue of a citation.
Scene Communication ➤ They failed to clarify details of the backup call and instead fabricated claims to justify the stop.
[11] Criminal Behavior Standards
Powergaming / Baiting ➤ Stopping me without probable cause and forcing a citation despite my counter evidence fits powergaming, as it removes my ability to fairly respond. ➤ Claiming false information (“3H88 was not here”) and continuing the stop despite proof is baiting and creates conflict without legitimate RP cause.
Fail RP (Unrealistic Enforcement) ➤ Writing tickets for “unsafe driving” and “misuse of emergency lights” when I was on a legitimate Code 3 call is unrealistic and immersion breaking.
Metagaming / Bias ➤ Their actions suggest OOC bias rather than IC law enforcement reasoning. ➤ Continuing to push charges after being proven wrong supports a staff review for bias.
While this section mainly covers criminal RP, the Evidence Handling clause reinforces that officers must not falsify or mishandle evidence. ➤ Claiming speeding without radar proof or factual evidence could be interpreted as willful falsification of reports — a serious offense under the Penalty Scale (potentially leading to LEO blacklist).
