What made you want to apply for a position with MI?:

I think that for me, the draw towards joining your team is simply a matter of this community's evident dedication to going all the way in an effort to put out the best product for its customers. I came across MI a few months ago and, admittedly, assumed that it was just another cookie-cutter LEO RP group like the hundreds of others that exist. However, I was very pleasantly surprised and I do not say this lightly. Mountain Interactive is one of the few communities I've interacted with that has a Staff and development team that take time to actually listen to and create a truly friendly rapport with everyone they deal with.

I am also duly impressed with how MI has managed to expand itself and really show potential to become a significant community not just on Roblox but on other platforms. Not only are multiple games and a FiveM server in the works, but this is quite literally the only Roblox group I've heard of that actually went ahead and became a bona fide licensed company. I'm no master coder nor do I have any knacks for modeling or design. But what I do have is a good deal of human experience that I feel I can give this company with full and honest sincerity. The only thing that drives me is that I simply want to make a positive difference and I feel that I can do that here.

Considering your strengths and weaknesses, why should we select you?:

By no means am I perfect, and nor is anyone else. Like anyone else, I'll have my moments where a short temper could get the best of me. There have been times in the past where I was in a position of authority and my actions were either too heavy-handed or too little, too late. These were character flaws which I was not able to recognize and correct until I matured further. The key to success is the ability to admit these faults and that they can be controlled. I used to really dislike being this upfront but time has shown that it only reflects good character. However, this has afforded me the opportunity to develop my own strengths.

I have learned and tried my best to carry out the essential skill of patience, and above all, a sense of humor. My patience allows me to sit back for a second and look my cards over, so to speak. What can I do? What could backfire? Can we find an alternative? These are the "cards" that allow you to make the right play. I also mentioned a good sense of humor, which I found has really saved my ### both in real life and online. While you do become an authority figure, you don't stop being a community member either because of that. I use a healthy sense of humor to make it clear that I am still one of them. You'll find so many people who become a literal personification of the Devil when they achieve even an ounce of power. When you come upon a shouting match, you don't help by adding in another yelling voice. It is shocking how well a diffusing attitude and a well-placed joke can help an argument. This has worked for me in the past, and presuming the inhabitants of the Discord server and games are not sentient AI programs, I don't expect any trouble adjusting at all.

Do you have any staffing experience in other communities?:

Yes, I do have quite a few varied experiences under my belt. I've been on Roblox since 2015 and have had my current account since 2017. My first foray into the world of e-staffing was when I worked as a Wall Moderator (that title itself makes 2018 feel like it was eons ago lmao) and later Discord Moderator for the Car Crushers Community during the summer and fall of 2018. My duties were, rather obviously, maintaining decorum and answering inquiries on the Roblox group wall and in the community Discord channels respectively. Considering CC was and still is a rather large and busy community attracting a large volume of mainstream user interaction, I learned vital skills in that capacity. Around the same time, I joined on with what was at the time the most active iteration of the RCPD:FR Community (you'll have to forgive me, I genuinely cannot recall the owner). I began as a Trial Moderator and for the first time somehow moved up the totem pole. I eventually became Game Director (equivalent to a Head Mod position) towards the end of my time there in late 2018. My duties included actively patrolling the game in a marked Staff vehicle and responding to "!help" requests and Junior Moderator inquiries. By the time I left RCPD:FR, I joined Reprezalio's Soviet Union, which at the time was one of the most active of the whole Soviet/Eastern European Border Group game genre. Though not involved with group administration myself, I feel this experience gave me relevant knowledge. I did join their Border Police group and eventually was promoted to leadership, specifically as Deputy Minister of that department. That post had me not only assisting the Minister but also creating training doctrine documents and upholding standards of activity and conduct. I was with that group until June 2019, and since then, I have been keeping myself busy with leadership gigs in smaller groups owned by old friends, et cetera.

Have you ever been a member of Staff with MI, or a Mentor with MI?: No.
