  1. Suggestion for: Project Ventura™ My Suggestion: The “Motor Officer” rank on the Ventura Highway Patrol (VHP) team is currently titled as a certified motorcycle unit officer, but the motorcycles are not yet accessible. This rank should unlock access to the motorcycle vehicles, making the rank functional and meaningful. Since motorcycles are unique to VHP, this would help set the department apart and create new roleplay opportunities such as traffic escorts, pursuit assistance, and highway patrol scenes. Other departments could also have their own version of motorcycle access in the future for balance. This could be implemented as a sub-restriction, where only players who are Bronze rank or higher and hold the Motor Officer rank (or above) in VHP can access motorcycles. Why This Would Improve the Game: Allowing Motor Officers to use motorcycles would make the VHP more unique, realistic, and specialized—just like real highway patrol units. It gives players a new way to patrol, adds variety to traffic enforcement, and increases immersion for both law enforcement and civilian roleplay. It also rewards progression by tying the feature to both game rank and department certification.
  2. Suggestion for: Project Ventura™ My Suggestion: The in-game lighting system should be adjusted, as it currently gets too dark during certain times or conditions. Improving the lighting balance, especially during nighttime or low-visibility weather, would make the game environment clearer and easier to navigate. Why This Would Improve the Game: Better lighting would improve overall visibility and gameplay experience, making it easier for players to see their surroundings, interact in roleplay scenes, and drive safely. It would also enhance realism and help create a smoother, more enjoyable experience for all players.

Suggestion for: Project Ventura™ My Suggestion: Allow SBI and department ranks such as Captains and above to give small XP boosts to players who demonstrate good behavior or strong performance. For example, officers who perform well in roleplay situations or show professionalism during patrols could receive a small XP boost, such as 10 XP per reward. To keep the system fair, each person with permission to give XP boosts would only be able to issue one reward every two days. Every time a reward is given, it could be logged automatically, allowing moderation to review and identify if someone is repeatedly giving XP to the same user. If any abuse is found, such as favoritism or misuse, the person responsible could lose access to the system or face in-game disciplinary action, including potential bans. Why This Would Improve the Game: This system would encourage players to act professionally, stay active, and put more effort into their roleplay. It creates a sense of recognition for those who consistently contribute positively to the community. By giving SBI and higher ranks the ability to reward effort responsibly.

I attempted to make a ticket for this issue, but no staff responded. Instead, ZizyBob0720 immediately closed my ticket. Although the evidence does not clearly show the reset, the staff’s action in shutting my ticket without review appears to be an abuse of power and unfair handling of the situation. 10. Suggestion for: Project Ventura™ My Suggestion: From what I know, the VHP currently only benefits from having statewide jurisdiction. Compared to departments like FCPD or HCSD, we don’t have any specialized divisions such as SWAT or Investigations. To make VHP more realistic and engaging, I’m suggesting the addition of several operational and enforcement divisions based on real-life California Highway Patrol (CHP) units. These additions would create more opportunities for progression, variety, and realism within the department. Proposed Operational / Enforcement Divisions SWAT (Special Response Team) The real CHP operates Special Response Teams under their Protective Services Division. These teams deal with high-risk warrants, barricaded suspects, hostage rescues, and tactical vehicle stops. Adding this division would give VHP a tactical unit similar to HCSD SWAT, allowing us to handle dangerous statewide incidents more effectively. Undercover / Investigations (ISU or MAIT) The Investigative Services Unit (ISU) focuses on undercover work, organized crime, narcotics, and vehicle theft operations. The MAIT (Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team) investigates major or fatal traffic collisions involving complex or criminal factors. These roles would bring deeper investigative and forensic roleplay opportunities to VHP. Commercial Enforcement (Commercial Vehicle Section) This division focuses on commercial trucking, hazardous materials, and weight enforcement. Officers could perform inspections, operate weigh stations, and respond to hazmat situations. It reflects one of the real CHP’s main responsibilities and adds variety to highway patrol duties. DUI Enforcement / Task Force A DUI Task Force would specialize in impaired driving enforcement and crash reconstruction. It could be used for checkpoints, saturation patrols, or night operations, promoting realistic and focused traffic enforcement. Vehicle Theft Task Force (AUTO / CHP-RATT) Based on CHP’s Regional Auto Theft Taskforce (RATT), this division would work with local law enforcement to target vehicle theft rings, VIN fraud, and chop shops. It’s perfect for joint operations and investigative RP scenarios. Executive Protection / Dignitary Security This division, similar to CHP’s Protective Services Division, provides security for state officials and visiting dignitaries. It could be used during events or special roleplay scenarios involving VIPs or government figures. Capitol Protection Section Responsible for protecting the California State Capitol and nearby government buildings. This could serve as a special assignment or ceremonial role within the department, focusing on state-level security and high-profile threats. Gangs / Narcotics Enforcement A task force that works with state and local agencies to investigate drug trafficking, smuggling, and gang-related crimes along major routes. This division would expand VHP’s presence in serious criminal investigations. Why This Would Improve the Game: Introducing these divisions would make the Ventura Highway Patrol more than just a department with statewide jurisdiction. It would give members new paths to specialize, train, and grow within the department while keeping things realistic and true to how the real CHP operates. These additions would also improve cooperation with other departments, create new roleplay scenarios, and give VHP a balanced mix of patrol, investigative, and tactical opportunities, making it feel like a complete, professional law enforcement agency rather than just a highway unit.
  11. Suggestion for: Project Ventura™ My Suggestion: I recommend updating the Florence City Harbor Department system to make it more rewarding and better integrated with other departments. There are two main approaches that could improve the current setup: Change or Rework the Harbor Department: Adjust the structure or role of the Harbor Department to make it more appealing and accessible to players, possibly by linking it more closely with law enforcement or emergency services. This could include new features, missions, or patrol types that connect with city or coastal police activity. Link XP Progression to the Police Department: Allow the XP earned within the Harbor Department to also contribute towards progress in the Police Department. This would make time spent in the Harbor Department more meaningful for players working toward police ranks, achievements, or unlocks. Why This Would Improve the Game: This change would encourage more players to engage with the Harbor Department by giving it a stronger purpose and better rewards. Currently, some players might skip it if it doesn’t contribute to their main progression path. By allowing XP crossover or making the Harbor Department part of a larger system, players would have more motivation to explore all available roles. It would also make progression feel smoother and more interconnected between departments, reducing grind and increasing player retention, especially for those aiming for higher police ranks like Bronze donators+
  12. Game: Project Ventura™ My Suggestion: I suggest adding postal codes in the bottom left corner near the road name. When a player activates a panic button, it should automatically include the postal in the alert. Additionally, a GPS system/UI could be implemented — a small GPS tablet above the health, stamina, etc. Players could open this GPS and either type in or select a postal to navigate to. It would also allow users to manually pinpoint a location on the map, functioning like an interactive in-game map rather than relying solely on postal input. Why This Would Improve the Game: This feature would help new players navigate the map more effectively and make learning the map much easier. It also adds realism and immersion, especially during emergency or dispatch-related gameplay where quick location identification and GPS routing are essential.
