The RCSO Special Operations Bureau responds to critical incidents and complex problems that often involve high risk apprehensions, high risk warrant services, fugitive apprehensions, hostage rescues, active shooters, dignitary protection, barricaded subjects, hazardous devices, maritime operations, counter terrorism details or any special assignment at the request of the Sheriff. Personnel assigned to the bureau receive advanced level training and certification in the specialized duty. They are dedicated public servants of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the communities they serve.
