My Ban Appeal Appealing Discord ID: 283229499284389889 Ban Length: Answer: Unsure, It's been over a year and I'm still not unbanned. I was not given a length of time. Ban Reason: I believe the ban was for harassment, although I don't believe I was told a reason so I am going off my own assumptions. For context, I'm Irish and was informed that another Irish/Celtic person was in the server and I should VC with them, I had been playing on some of the games for a while but had not yet joined the discord. I joined the server and tagged the user and asked to VC, a moderator I believe (unsure of user, this was a year ago) claimed I was harassing the user, and that the user was female, I'm unsure why their gender had anything to do with this but this point was brought up a number of times. I denied harassing the user as I had; A. Just joined the server, and B. Only asked to VC. I was then kicked, I rejoined the server and, admittedly quite abruptly asked why I was being punished for attempting to communicate with someone in a communication channel, this continued back and forwards between me and I believe another member, and then I was banned. From memory, and from checking now, there is no reason listed and just the response to appeal via the mountain interactive website. This information is filled out to the best of my memory, as this was a year ago I appreciate that upon inspection some of it may not be 100% accurate. Why I Should Be Unbanned: I believe I should be unbanned as this was a year ago and I don't personally believe the situation was handled efficiently, whilst harassment is 100% a sufficient offense to ban someone for, I find it incredibly difficult to see how I managed to harass someone in less than an hour of being in the server. Secondly I am still unable to see the issue with me asking another user to VC, the user was sending voice notes and did not appear to be bothered by my request until the moderator (or similar role) started claiming it to be harassment, and mentioned to me that the user was female, I am still confused why the user being female was ever brought up as a driving point. Although it's a year late, I apologise if the user was feeling harassed by me, though I was unaware that they were as it was not communicated to me by them. It was not my intention to make any user uncomfortable, I was only attempting to communicate to someone with a similar accent to mine on a game that I was also playing. (The accent thing may seem stupid to most, but considering most users from the likes of America find it incredibly difficult to understand me and then avoid communicating with me in VC, finding someone who is likely going to understand you is nice for a change) Additional Members Involved/Witnessing: N/A
