Incident Description*: heard gunfire at the mini mart/gas station on milano blvd (can also see in radio gunfire was reported), came to the scene. As other LEOs approached the scene I unholstered my weapon and begin entrance through the backdoor, where gunfire continued. As I feared death if I entered through the door I did not and retreated, awaiting for other units, and the suspect attempted to escape through the same back door with his assault rifle out, in order to neutralize him I opened fire. He was neutralized, but not dead, and he quickly left the game before I could grab/tackle him. It was irritating and it's wrong because he left to avoid arrest.Please explain what happened in extreme detail.
