Growing up around law enforcement has given me a perspective on policing that’s not often seen by the general public. I know that the job is about much more than just enforcing the law—it’s about being a protector, a mediator, and a listener. ive witnessed how important it is to understand human nature, to approach every situation with a balance of empathy and authority. My dad has shown me that sometimes, the job isn’t about “catching the bad guys” as much as it is about understanding people and helping them in their most vulnerable moments.
