Staff Report on SpicyBreathMints
Roblox Username: CaptainIIFergie Discord ID (Ex. 709881578058285127): 1209230216551997544 REPORTING CONTENTS: Staff Username: SpicyBreathMints Discord Username or ID: c0br.a Description Of the Incident: AFK and/or ignoring staff calls when multiple members were being rdm’ed by an exploiter. I made 4 help calls and 2/4 of them were claimed by SpicyBreathMints, bear in mind he was the only moderator online, I asked over the radio what his status was and he said that he would attend my calls in a second, about 10-15 minutes had past and I hadn’t been informed of any resolution to my staff calls. Multiple other members were asking for 453 (His callsign) to attend there requests as well. There was about half an hour of an exploiter going around shooting and rdm’ing then flying away when nearly shot and there was no moderator intervening with the problem that was occurring. It took a much more respected Moderator/Developer (Haydz) to take action toward the exploiter in which he did and solved the problem in an instant by issuing a permanent ban. I’d like if IA conduct an inquiry as to why those help calls were ignored considering the fact he stated that he would attend the help requests. Thank you Committed Offenses: AFK/Ignoring help calls as an active moderator. Time of Occurrence: 2:45 AM - 3:15 AM (UTC) Additional members involved/witnessing: N/A (Attach a video/picture in this message)

I am very excited about the opportunity to join the Mountain Interactive Staff Team, since I strongly believe in the company's mission of providing innovative and engaging digital experiences. With a passion for technology and user interaction, I believe my skills and enthusiasm for creating impactful solutions go well with the core values at Mountain Interactive. I look forward to being part of a team that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement. With a background in problem-solving, customer service, and content development, I am confident in my ability to add value from day one. I thrive in an environment where everyone around me is as passionate about making a difference, and I am confident that Mountain Interactive's dynamic and culture will be a perfect fit for me. I am challenged by the possibility of growing professionally and personally, working in a company that shares innovative, quality-driven, and customer-oriented values. It would be great fun to bring my contribution to joining, learning with and from the people in the Staff team, contributing a lot in a thought-provoking, cooperative atmosphere. What skills or qualities do you have that would make you a valuable member of the staff team? I believe various skills and qualities make me a strong candidate for the Mountain Interactive Staff Team. Firstly, I possess good written and verbal communication skills which I think is vital in the coordination of effort with other team members or in engaging with fellow members. It makes me clearly express ideas and listen to others, thereby prompting resolution or feedback on any issues. The other qualities that make me a great fit include a high problem-solving ability: I approach problems with a solution oriented mindset. I am able to analyze situations and think critically in order to come up with the best solution. Lastly I am comfortable in a dynamic environment, and learning new things. I'm also a team player who believes in cooperation and mutual help. I understand the importance of working together to achieve shared goals, so I am always ready to help my colleagues when necessary. I am detail-oriented and organized, ensuring the task is executed efficiently and to a good standard. Above all, I am passionate about creating an inclusive and positive work environment where everyone feels respected and empowered, which is the core of building a strong, successful team. Have you been involved in any other communities or teams? If so, please list them and describe your role: Being on roleplay servers a lot, I already know what specific rules and guidelines are needed, I would find it easy to make sure players are maintaining those rules in the server. In roleplay, there is usually quite a bit of complex interactions that often lead to disputes or misunderstandings between players. I solve conflicts that involve me with neutrality and a lot of fairness, that alone proves my moderation skills of taking care that all players stay in a healthy atmosphere. So from my experiences in MI servers, people may see that I'm a well-communicating member, which has played the game for 2 years. I firmly believe moderators should be active within the server, into its culture, and its well-being showing that I actually care about its success in all ways. How would you handle a conflict between two community members? First, I would stay calm and neutral. I should not take sides, even though I may have an opinion or bias about certain things. My job as a moderator would be to ensure fairness in the resolution. I'd give both individuals the opportunity to explain their perspectives. I would listen actively to each person without interruption or assumption. This will help to fully understand the situation and make sure both parties feel heard, which may help reduce frustration or feelings of being misunderstood. If something is not clear, I would ask open-ended questions to gather all the facts. I wouldn’t judge or make decisions just yet. Listen to both sides, then try to get to the bottom of it: whether it was a misunderstanding, miscommunication, or even an expectation about the server rules. Understanding what's going on helps a lot when solving the problem. I'd let both people state their feelings respectfully and explain to each other. Often, an actual conflict is from a misunderstanding, and simply having open and respectful dialogue can smooth out most problems. I would inform them to consider how the actions could have affected the other and to see if they could compromise on some middle ground. If it's over a broken rule or broken rules, take both of them back to the community standards and what happened because of those actions. It is important that the rules are consistently applied for fairness and discipline to an extent where players are still enjoying themselves. I would then clearly explain which rule was violated by whom, if applicable, and why it matters. Any consequences or warnings would then be given according to the severity of the violation, their record, and if there is any past history in regards to the same violation. If I ever issued a ban, I'd say that the member should appeal it unless it be a perm ban he would be able to appeal it after a day. Describe a time you had to solve a difficult problem in a leadership or team role: One time, I dealt with a member who was disrespecting others. I dealt with the situation by asking whether he could stop doing what he did, before I would call staff. He refused and started turning onto me, using judgmental phrases against me while still disrespecting the other members in the process. I then called in staff. They conveniently responded really fast, took over the situation. I feel that I stood up to the problem in my own way and didn't let this guy disrespecting me and fellow members get the upper hand, which justifies my leadership within the MI Community and can support the idea of myself being a moderator. How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple responsibilities? I prioritize tasks primarily by what call was made first. I would then consider which one I prioritize after responding to all calls and sent evidence of what happened: based on two main factors, urgency and importance. I would do this by considering these factors: Urgent and Important: These calls would be my top priority. They are critical and need to be addressed immediately (e.g. Mass RDM, Exploiting, SIM). Important, but Not Urgent: These tasks are significant and may need immediate attention. (e.g. RDM, TK, TA, V-PT) Urgent, but Not Important: These tasks need quick attention but you can either delegate these tasks or handle them after addressing the more important ones. (e.g. FRP, HS, PB) Neither Urgent nor Important but still needs resolution: These tasks can be attended after more important ones are addressed. (e.g. Player Glitched, Tool Glitched, Information Requests) Another factor that may help when dealing with multiple responsibilities is request for some assistance in-game if there are too many calls. By offloading other calls to other staff it makes a big impact on how I deal with the staff scene I am at considering that I don’t have to worry about other calls to respond to. What do you think is the most important value for a Mountain Interactive Staff member to uphold, and why? Impartiality is a very important value, because as a moderator, you are supposed to play the role of maintaining level and fair ground for all participants, and having impartiality ensures that I carry out my duties without any partiality or bias. Impartiality guarantees that all members are treated equally, with no regard to personal relationships, opinions, or anything from the outside world. In the Mountain Interactive Community, all should find equal opportunity to be heard and treated as everyone else. For any community to work, a certain level of trust needs to be established with its moderators. The moment a moderator appears biased or unfair, it will break trust and divide the community. Fairness builds trust among members that issues are resolved based on the facts and rules, not on personal preference or favoritism. Moderators should apply the rules consistently without bending them for specific individuals. Impartiality helps ensure that rules are applied fairly to all, regardless of a person's status or friendship with a Moderator. How would you support and encourage new members of the community? Supporting and encouraging new members is essential to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community. As a moderator or staff member, it’s important to help newcomers feel valued, comfortable, and able to participate. When new members join, I would greet them personally. A simple "Welcome to the community! We're glad to have you!" can go a long way in making someone feel acknowledged. I would introduce new members to other members or areas of the community (forums, channels, specific roles) to help them feel like part of the group from the start. To avoid confusion, I would make sure new members are aware of the community rules and guidelines. I would either directly provide them with the information or direct them to where they can find it (e.g., a pinned post, a welcome message, or a specific channel). I would then ensure that they understand the expected behavior, values, and culture within the community. Lucky enough, Mountain Interactive has plenty of resources, FAQs, or help centers that offer answers to common questions. I would direct new members to that information to help them find answers without having to ask repeatedly. I would also encourage new members to ask questions. This helps reduce any anxiety they may have about being new. What are your long-term goals, and how does being part of Mountain Interactive align with them? My long-term goals are focused on personal development, community building, and contributing to innovative projects. Being part of Mountain Interactive fits into these goals in many ways. One of my long-term goals is to continuously work on improving my skills, whether they be communication, leadership, or problem-solving. Working with experienced people in the interactive and gaming industry will enable me to learn from their expertise and enhance my knowledge. If I were to be part of the team, I would be involved in the resolution of community issues and creation of content which would all sharpen my problem-solving and leadership skills. I think building strong, supportive communities is a long-term passion of mine. I can show my contribution by helping maintain a positive and interactive environment to make the new members and veterans feel welcome. Success in gaming or interactive space requires an environment that is diverse and inclusive. I can ensure through my role that all members would have an opportunity to contribute and put forth their ideas. I would like to take more leadership roles in the future like community management, project management, or team-leading. These roles will help me grow as a leader and mentor, gaining experience that can carry over to other professional or personal endeavors. I can assume responsibility for mentoring new members, ensuring that they feel supported and able to succeed, adding to an environment that is positive and growth-oriented. Are there any areas within the community you feel need improvement? If so, what ideas do you have to address them? If community engagement starts to decline, members may feel less motivated to participate, leading to a stagnant or less dynamic environment. Maintaining excitement and active participation can be a challenge, especially over time. Host Regular Community Events: Organize regular events that encourage participation and interaction. Events could focus on fun, creativity, or collaboration, providing a reason for people to return regularly. Content and Activity Calendar: Having a community calendar with scheduled events, milestones, or special activities can help members anticipate and plan participation in activities. This consistency also builds a sense of routine and involvement within the community. Reduce Prices for tools/weapons & Increase starter cash amount: By judging off how many members are irregularly buying weapons and often stealing them from dead bodies proves that most people don’t have a sufficient amount of cash to purchase tools and when they do, they lose them from being killed or arrested. Changing the amount may see a major increase in the enjoyment members have by being able to afford weapons to use to enhance their roleplay experience. I understand that this may also see a major increase in RDM. AgreementBy submitting this application, I confirm that: All information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any false information may result in immediate disqualification or removal from the staff team. Signature (type your name here): @CaptainIIFergie Date: 1/2/2025

What skills or qualities do you have that would make you a valuable member of the staff team? I believe several skills and qualities make me a strong candidate for the Mountain Interactive Staff Team. First, I possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, which are essential for collaborating effectively with team members and engaging with clients or users. This enables me to express ideas clearly, listen attentively to others, and ensure that any issues or feedback are addressed promptly. Additionally, I have strong problem-solving abilities, allowing me to approach challenges with a logical, solution-oriented mindset. Whether it’s technical troubleshooting or creating strategies to improve user experience, I can analyze situations and think critically to find the best solutions. My adaptability is another key asset, as I am comfortable working in dynamic environments and am always eager to learn new tools and techniques to stay ahead of industry trends. I am also a team player who values collaboration and mutual support. I understand the importance of working together to achieve shared goals and am always willing to lend a hand to my colleagues when needed. I am also detail-oriented and organized, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Above all, I am passionate about fostering an inclusive and positive work environment where everyone feels respected and empowered, which is key to building a strong, successful team. Have you been involved in any other communities or teams? If so, please list them and describe your role: As someone who has spent time on roleplay servers, I am already familiar with the specific rules, guidelines, and expectations. This knowledge is crucial for maintaining order, enforcing rules, and ensuring that players adhere to the server’s standards. Roleplay often involves complex interactions, and usually disputes or misunderstandings between players. My ability to mediate and resolve conflicts in a fair and neutral manner shows that I can handle the responsibilities of being a moderator, ensuring a positive environment for all players. My experience on MI Servers suggests that I am an active member of the community who has been playing for 2 years. Moderators should be engaged and invested in the server’s culture and well-being, and my dedication to the server and it’s players shows that I care about its success. How would you handle a conflict between two community members? The first step is to remain calm and neutral. It's important to approach the situation without taking sides, even if I have personal opinions or biases. As a moderator, my role would be to ensure fairness and resolve the conflict in a manner that aligns with the community's rules and values. I’d give both individuals the opportunity to explain their perspectives. Listen actively to each person without interrupting or making assumptions. This helps to fully understand the situation and ensures that both parties feel heard, which can reduce feelings of frustration or being misunderstood. If something is unclear, I would ask open-ended questions to gather all the facts. Avoid judgment during this stage, my job is to gather information, not make decisions yet. After hearing both sides, try to understand the underlying issue. Is it a misunderstanding, a difference in expectations, or a violation of the server's rules? Identifying the cause is key to finding a resolution. I would encourage the parties involved to express their feelings respectfully and understand each other's perspectives. Often, conflicts arise from miscommunication, so facilitating open and respectful dialogue can go a long way in resolving the issue. I would inform them to think about how their actions may have affected the other person and ask if they can find a compromise. If the conflict involves a breach of rules or guidelines, remind both parties of the community's standards and the consequences of their actions. Consistently applying the rules is important for fairness and maintaining order. I would then clearly explain which rule was violated by who (if applicable) and why it matters. Apply any consequences or warnings in a way that’s consistent with the severity of the violation and also based of their record and if there is past history relating to the same violation. If I issued a ban I would inform the member that they can appeal it unless it’s a perm ban in which they would have to wait 24 hours to be able to appeal it. Describe a time you had to solve a difficult problem in a leadership or team role: I once had to deal with a person who was disrespecting other members. I dealt with the situation by asking if he could stop doing what he was doing before I called staff. He then refused to stop and started to turn against me and say judgmental things about me, still also disrespecting the other members in the process. I then called staff in which they responded conveniently quick and took over with the situation. I feel as if I stood up to the problem in my way and didn’t let the guy who was disrespecting me and fellow members get the upper-hand which justifies my leadership within the MI Community that can support the idea of myself being a moderator. By offloading other calls to other staff it makes a big impact on how I deal with the staff scene I am at considering that I don’t have to worry about other calls to respond to. What do you think is the most important value for a Mountain Interactive Staff member to uphold, and why? Impartiality. This value is crucial because as a moderator you play a key role in maintaining a fair and balanced environment for all participants, and having impartiality ensures that I carry out my duties without favoritism or being biased. Impartiality guarantees that all members are treated equally, regardless of personal relationships, opinions, or any outside factors. In the Mountain Interactive Community, everyone should feel like they have an equal opportunity to participate and that they will be treated equally. For a community to thrive, its members must trust the moderators. If a moderator is perceived as biased or unfair, it can erode trust and create division within the community. Impartiality fosters an environment where members feel confident that issues will be resolved based on the facts and rules, not personal preferences or favoritism. Moderators must enforce the rules consistently, without bending them for certain individuals. Impartiality helps ensure that rules are applied fairly to all, regardless of a person’s status, relationship with the moderator, or any other factors. This consistency creates a sense of order and stability within the community. These reasons all link to why I think the most important value to uphold when being a moderator is impartiality. How would you support and encourage new members of the community? Supporting and encouraging new members is essential to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community. As a moderator or staff member, it’s important to help newcomers feel valued, comfortable, and equipped to participate. When new members join, I would make it a priority to greet them personally and warmly. A simple "Welcome to the community! We're glad to have you!" can go a long way in making someone feel acknowledged. If possible, introduce new members to other members or areas of the community (forums, channels, specific roles) to help them feel like part of the group from the start. I would encourage new members to ask questions and assure them that no question is too small or silly. This helps reduce any anxiety they may have about being new. What are your long-term goals, and how does being part of Mountain Interactive align with them? My long-term goals revolve around personal growth, community building, and contributing to innovative projects. Being part of Mountain Interactive aligns perfectly with these goals for several reasons: One of my long-term goals is to continually improve my skills, whether they are related to communication, leadership, problem-solving, or technical abilities. Working alongside experienced individuals in the interactive and gaming industry will allow me to learn from their expertise and enlarge my own knowledge. If I were a member of the team, I would be involved in resolving community issues, organizing events, and creating content, all of which would sharpen my problem-solving and leadership skills. I think building strong, supportive communities is a long-term passion of mine. By contributing to a positive and interactive environment, I can help new and veteran members feel welcome. In a gaming or interactive space, creating a diverse and inclusive atmosphere is key to success. I can use my role to ensure that all members have the chance to contribute and share their unique ideas. I aspire to take on more leadership roles in the future, whether in a community management, project management, or team-leading capacity. At Mountain Interactive, I see opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities whether it’d be moderating, organizing events, or managing projects, these roles will help me grow as a leader and mentor, gaining experience that can carry over to other professional or personal endeavors. I can take on mentoring new members, ensuring that they feel supported and have the capability to succeed, which contributes to a positive, growth-oriented environment. Are there any areas within the community you feel need improvement? If so, what ideas do you have to address them? If community engagement starts to decline, members may feel less motivated to participate, leading to a stagnant or less dynamic environment. While I was mid-pursuit I was jailed by a Moderator and was told that I’d receive a warning for V-PT. I told him that it was a pure misunderstanding considering that I didn’t know pursuits were not allowed in peacetime bearing in mind that the message at the top of my screen was “Prepare for Peace Time to be Enabled” then followed right after with “Peace Time has been Enabled”. I tried saying to the Moderator that I would’ve had a better idea of what it meant if the message included: “End all roleplays”. I then told the Moderator that it wouldn’t happen again now that I knew what it was, but he still thought that due to the high priority of the chase there was purpose in what I was trying to get out of it. I tried to explain that violating peacetime weren’t my intentions and that I didn’t have enough knowledge/warning on what the consequences were. I’d like if I got a second chance due to the fact that It was my first warning for V-PT and If I did get a second chance I wouldn’t ever violate peacetime again now that I know what it means. Someone crashed into me and they were in a pursuit so there were about 4-5 cops following and they all crashed into the guy who had already crashed. I honked my horn once, and once I honked there was another civ behind me spamming his horn for no reason. Before the moderator arrived he took off making me look like I was the one who was just spamming the horn due to the fact I was the only civ at the scene with a civilian car that has a similar horn sound. This was my first time being warned and I feel like it’s a petty thing that the Moderator did considering that he wasn’t sure if it was me or not when I had told him that the guy had took off before he flew over to the scene to assess what had just happened. The officer’s also took my side when I was talking to the Moderator by also stating that it wasn’t me and that it was somebody else. The Moderator told then told them to leave the staff scene when they were witnesses who could’ve assisted with the description of who it actually was spamming the horn. The moderator was flying above and heard the gunshots but didn’t see the part when I was being harassed and chased so he thought that I killed the sheriff for no reason but I felt threatened because I was about to get arrested. He then brought the sheriff I killed back to the scene and attempted to ask him if he was rdm’ed or not but the sheriff was new to the game and didn’t understand a thing that the moderator was asking him. The sheriff was asked “Did he rdm you"? and he replied with “?” and the Moderator simplified the question by asking, “Did he kill you for no reason” and the Sheriff of course said Yes but still clearly didn’t know what the Moderator was talking about. I explained to the moderator that it wasn’t RDM and that he should void the scene considering that he didn’t see the scene and the Sheriff was in-capable of providing an accurate answer to whether it was rdm or not when asked by the Moderator. The whole situation seemed like a his word over mine due to the Moderator taking advantage of the new player’s understanding on what the rules were regarding RDM. There was also no clip provided by the moderator which is questionable in itself. Additional Members Involved/Witnessing: N/A

The initial report was for FRP but I can’t see anywhere when I failed to roleplay considering that I was carrying out an arrest for him because he was evading. Secondly, when I went to pit him I didn’t think that it’d glitch him into a pole. Additional Members Involved/Witnessing: N/A Medal.tv | Record and Share Game...Roblox - Clipped with Medal.tv9 Views.
