This helps us evaluate honesty and growth. Yes, I was banned for RDM'ing someone. I thought the suspect coming up was a cooker and I saw his character move his arm so I thought he reached for a gun, but I was wrong and I RDM'ed him. I understand now that what I did was wrong and instead of shooting him multiple times, I should have shot him only once. The more familiar you are with server-specific rules, the stronger your application. I play LA and Perris, but I mostly play LA. I would like to moderate LA, however I may also moderate Perris depending on mod amount. Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?I want to become a moderator because I believe that not only are they a great set of role models that people in MI should look up to, but also because that there are some amazing people that I can get to meet if I am decided a good fit for moderator. I want to help because I know that I have great knowledge over the rules and the specifics of these rules, and I can enforce these rules fairly and consistently throughout my time as a moderator if I get chosen. Not only am I able to moderate fairly, but also help those who don't know much of the game get to know us better and I want to put MI in a good spotlight. I believe that being a moderator isn't just about "Ohh ban that kid cause he has broken a rule once" or "warn him for being annoying" or anything like that, of course there is some element of having to moderate but also , the job that is commonly overlooked is the fact that you should be helping others instead of putting them down. You should focus on new people while being a moderator and you should help them to the best you can, so that they can immerse themselves in the experience as well. You shouldn't be mean or bullying anybody else, you should be bringing people up and helping them to enjoy the game, because that is what a moderator is. I keep this belief strong in my mind, and that is the main reason to why I want to become a moderator. I decided that I should apply when I got my app appealed when I got banned off OSP. This helped me to recognise that the moderator team is also people who have empathy and kindness and warmth in them, instead of just abusing their powers or being tedious with them. They guide people instead of putting them down, just like how Victor was to me. He inspired me and motivated me to create positive contributions to the community instead of being a constant rule breaker, he showed that MI isn't just about money or cash, it's about bonding people over a Lego game to have fun. No one should take it too seriously, because we are all humans with enough emotional intelligence to recognise that everybody deserves a second chance. No matter who they are or what they are, everybody deserves to have a second chance to do better and to be a better person, which is what I have dedicated myself over the last few months to MI. I have lots of experience within moderating, which I think play a vital role into why I am a good fit for being a moderator. I have many experiences, as aforementioned previously in my application. Not only that, but I have many traits such as having absolute fairness within my judgement and absolutely no bias towards anybody, whether or not they are my friend or not, I will always take a neutral stance. Kinda like Damnatio Kira (iykyk). Furthermore, I am able to give constructive and helpful feedback to those who are first-time rule breakers or even repeated rule breakers, they all need constructive criticism to help them improve next time, just like how I was treated. I will treat everyone fairly, no matter if they call themselves Lego, Spartan, gay, lesbian, straight, arab, muslim, christian, israel , palestine , russian , ukrainian or whoever, I will treat everybody fairly regardless of ethnicity, race, beliefs and disabilities because that is what true equality is. I know that my history within MI from September to around October hasn't been too great. For example, i've received like 5+ bans over the course of those months so not very great. However, after my ban got appealed from OSP, I have already received one ban which is from RDM which was just miscommunication. I think that I can definitely share my story with others and help them to improve as well. I have also been donating for a couple months now, I think that being a moderator will help me donate or a better word, contribute more to the community. Thank you for reading this portion of the application. Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members? Yes or No. If yes, only list staff who know you and can vouch for you. Adding random names or staff who don’t know you will hurt your application. No :sob: When Are You Usually Available to Moderate? List your time zone and availability. This helps us plan coverage across all time slots. GMT+0 but right now, BST.Weekdays:4:30pm - 10pmWeekends:8am-10pm How Would You Handle Rule breaking?Explain how you would deal with first-time offenders, repeat offenders, and what punishments you would apply. Show you understand how to be fair, consistent, and firm. With first-time offenders, I would go lenient on them and explain what they did wrong, and tell them why it is wrong. I would explain it till they understand, and then I would give them a verbal warning. I would tell them not to repeat it, and moving onwards, make a positive contribution the community. For repeat offenders, I would know that they have already been told that what they've been doing is wrong, so I wouldn't give them a verbal warning, instead I would go the mod book and give the appropriate punishment. This is to ensure fairness and consistency within my judgement so that I don't show bias towards people that I like. Anything Else We Should Know?I don't think is of any credibility, but once I got banned while on OSP, obviously meaning that i'm banned forever, right? However, I put time, dedication and passion into my ban appeal application. And by a miracle, it got accepted and I went on OSP again. After this, I've got minimum modlogs with MI which aren't significant and I continue to learn about the changing community of MI and how I can contribute at every step. I like to help new people, as I think that if they don't understand, they won't play and leave, and miss out the potential of the game, I am doing the same for new people just like how people helped me when I was new. Especially the moderators, they inspired me the most to change. I am a relatively experienced moderator with being able to moderate servers with lots of rule breakers and compared to LA and Perris, a lot more. Therefore, I can do moderating efficiently, quickly and most importantly, fairly. I have been a donor for a couple months now, I think around October / November I've been donating (except for the times I've been banned... but I've moved on and started contributing positively to the community and I will I help the community more if I become a moderator.
