What is your Roblox Username and User ID?Username: Prankman_2001 ID: 2540717041 What is your Discord ID?ID: 870509962969903175 Have You Been Punished in the Last 60 Days? No. Have You Had an Application Denied in the Last 90 Days? No, this is my first time applying. Were you a previous Staff Member? No. Do You Have a Working Microphone?Yes, I do. What Country Are You From?Vietnam. Have You Moderated Other Communities?Yes, I have been a moderator for a few groups before, but not really big ones, and I have also been a moderato,r but as a law enforcement officer or military officer. For example, there is a Vietnamese community called SROV, this community operates like a military. I was a Junior Lieutenant and an ambassador there. Which Mountain Interactive Servers Do You Play Most? For 2 years, I played in Perris, California, mainly because it was fun and a stress reliever after a hard day at work. But sadly, they might move to LA now to play. Since I've been playing for a long time, I'm pretty familiar with the basic rules and penalties, but I'd be happy to learn anything and everything I have to do as a moderator. Why Do You Want to Become a Moderator?I want to become a moderator because I truly care about the health, growth, and overall experience of this community. I have been an active member of MI for 2 years and I have seen that a community like this thrives not just on content or activity but on mutual respect, consistency, and a sense of belonging. I have watched moderators work behind the scenes to keep things in order, shape them, set standards, and make sure everyone feels safe and heard. I want to be able to give back in this way to the space where I have learned, contributed, and grown over the years in this community. I decided to apply because I feel I am qualified to be a moderator for the community, as I have learned and absorbed many of the skills that previous moderators have demonstrated such as Ash, DarkShadow, etc. Not only that, as a long-time member of this community, I have also witnessed many violations and how each moderator handled them. This has left a huge impression on me. I can answer questions, confidently assess and point out violations that others have committed, or guide new members. I do not rush into impulsive decisions; instead, I take the time to observe how things play out in conflict, what types of conflicts arise, and honestly assess what I can actually offer the support team. I need to make sure that the way I pursue this issue is a sincere commitment, not something based on a sudden sense of need. In terms of what makes me a good fit, I bring both relevant experience and personal characteristics. I have previously moderated Vietnamese community servers, both online forums and group chats, where I had to calmly handle conflict, enforce rules fairly, and encourage healthy discussion. I am calm, patient, fair, and good at reading between the lines – skills that come in handy when dealing with complex situations or dealing with stress. I also have strong communication skills and I am a leader and trustworthy, which means I don’t disappear when things get chaotic. Above all, I approach moderation not from a perspective of control but from a mindset of service: helping people feel included, involved, and welcome. Are You Familiar with Any Current Staff Members? Most of the old moderators have retired or are no longer working. I only know two now, Lemon and Whitewolf. When Are You Usually Available to Moderate? GMT+7, I am usually free from around 3 pm to 9 pm every day. And I find that during that time there is often a lack of staff to handle it, leading to many violations during that time. How Would You Handle Rule breaking? For first time offenders, I would talk to them about the rules and ask them if they know what rule they broke, for example if they RDM someone, I would ask them if they know what RDM is, if they don't know, I would explain it to them like this: "RDM or Random Deathmatch is when you kill someone for no reason and without enough action or context to use Violence, in the clip I saw, you walked up to this person and shot him dead for no reason and without any action to do it, that makes it RDM. At the same time, I would also check his violation history and depending on what he did before, depending on how the user acted/showed that he was at fault, it would be a verbal warning or a written warning on his profile. Okay, now we're going to have a hypothetical situation, for example there's a repeat offender that we're going to talk about is RESET to avoid arrest and drive while handcuffed, I see that most people in the server make this mistake. Back to the situation, he has done this before and knows he is not allowed to do it but still does it, I will take him to the lobby and talk to him about it and will tell him: "You know you can't Reset to avoid arrest and drive while handcuffed, you have been told so before. It ruins the RPG game of other people chasing you just to have you reset, it wastes their time and ruins the great chase they gave you to do it, you cannot drive while handcuffed, it is FRP, you have been warned and told not to do this again before, but you still ignore that warning and continue, from now on, you will be banned for 1 day because of RTAA + FRP. I will then notify him so that he can appeal this censorship action on the Mountain Interactive website if he feels it is unfair, disadvantageous to him and can also open a staff report on me if he feels like I did something wrong on his part. Usually, if he has violated the first time before but still violates the second time, I will ban him for 1 day as a lesson to not repeat the offense. I will try to use my full tolerance to resolve all cases. I just want people to be aware of the violation that I caused, not by using a permanent or a few-day ban. Note: Again, not sure why the text is bolded. Anything Else We Should Know? I am a person with very good leadership and conflict resolution skills. In addition, I have knowledge of MI law and can adapt to the working environment very quickly. Do You Speak Any Languages Other Than English? No, I don't.
