I have wanted to be apart of the Staff Team for a while now. I was waiting for applications to open up when an announcement was just made saying they are open 24/7. I jumped at the chance to apply and really prove myself. I have been with MI since Victor Valley but no in the Discord for very long. I’ve seen the commuinity grow to what it is today and I love it. I am very active within LAPD so I see all the abusers and RDMer’s each day. I’ve called mod and watched how they have delt with those people and I want to be that person. I want to help make sure this community stays great and continues to grow. I also want to stop the free teamers on Perris and LA from abusing as most of it comes from them. What skills or qualities do you have that would make you a valuable member of the staff team? I am really good with commuincation. I have great problem solving skills and never take just one side. I know the rules pretty well and I feel I can help make the commuinty better. I am also pretty active within the MI games (mainly LA but will go to Perris). I have no problem working with others and treat everyone with respect no matter if we disagree or come from a different background. Have you been involved in any other communities or teams? If so, please list them and describe your role: I am a mod at a game called Stateview Prison. I have delt with many abusers and rule brekers more times than I can count. How would you handle a conflict between two community members? I would make sure I listen to both sides. I would ask if anyone had some evidence or if it’s a Discord beef, tell them to take it to DM’s or face moderation. If it was in-game, going back to my point I would get proof and help settle who was in the right and who was in the wrong. Describe a time you had to solve a difficult problem in a leadership or team role: There was a big fight between two high ranks in Stateview Prison and I had to step in. They were fighting for spectator permission for a training that was being hosted. Me being the higher ranks asked which one got there first. The person who was first got to stay and the other had to go. It didn’t make the dude happy but at the end of the day rules are rules. How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple responsibilities? I would make sure if someone asks something of me, to see when it needs to get done. If the deadline is sooner I would finish that first and work on the other thing at a later time. However, if the task isnt as imporant, I would tell the person that I will get it done as soon as I am done with the first project. What do you think is the most important value for a Mountain Interactive Staff member to uphold, and why? To treat everyone the same no matter what. You can’t be bias when you are making choices. You need to make sure to hear each side out to make sure the problem will be handled to the best. It also helps make the MI commuinty look better when you have mods that know how to act and you know wont go against you for some other reason. How would you support and encourage new members of the community? I would make sure to great them and make them feel welcomed. I would help them with any questions they have and make sure they know the rules. I want to make the commuinty see inviting and a great place to be. I also want to make sure people don’t start trashing our commuinty cause of bad mods. I want everyone to get along and in a perfect world it would happen. What are your long-term goals, and how does being part of Mountain Interactive align with them? My long term goal is to become a Sheriff’s Deputy. MI is a great place cause I get to be a leader and start with baisc problem solving skills. It also helps so that way I can get to understand people better and hear others life stories and see how they grew up and their outcome. Are there any areas within the community you feel need improvement? If so, what ideas do you have to address them? I feel that even though it wont change, we need to stop free users on LAPD and LAFD. Most of them don’t know how to act and arent even in the TeamSpeak so we can’t help them if they are in trouble. I feel that if they stayed whitelisted, the commuinty would be a lot better. I get why the choice was made though. AgreementBy submitting this application, I confirm that: All information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge.
