The issue was never actually resolved on time if they had to resort to a data wipe. Clearly, a lot of damage had already been done, and it was way more than just two days. And no, I’m not sure why you’re acting like the XP boost obviously had to be permanent. They were just complaining about people abusing the system, but suddenly handing out a permanent boost makes sense? Come on, be serious. What was even the point of the data wipe if everyone is just going to get their rank back after a couple of days of playing again? It completely defeats the purpose. So maybe drop the “you can’t be serious bud” attitude when nothing about this situation makes real sense in the first place.

I saw the XP boost announcement, but I didn’t see anything saying it was permanent. Where did you get the idea that everything was fixed in two days? It shouldn’t have been that hard to just start data wiping the people who abused it.

I know it happens on all teams, but you specifically mentioned SBI and Port PD, which are both behind pay walls.

They are not going to punish customers who are paying a monthly subscription. That wouldn’t make sense from a business perspective because they would simply lose money. That is why people can get away with most of this stuff, or only get a slap on the wrist.

This isn’t even the first time they’ve done a data wipe. All they had to do was punish the people abusing the bugs and keep fixing them. Over time, that would have slowly solved the problem. If there were really that many bugs that they couldn’t fix in a reasonable amount of time, then maybe the game should not have been released yet, especially when people are paying a monthly subscription. I don’t know the exact scope of how many bugs were being exploited or how many people were taking advantage of them, but I highly doubt there were so many that they couldn’t patch them in time. They should have put more people on fixing the bugs. Also, where did they even say it was going to be a permanent XP boost for players with over 100 hours?

When you report someone, the clip should be at least one minute long so it actually shows some context. Anyone can trim a clip to only show the bad part, and it can make someone look like the bad guy when that is not the full story....

Yeah, only if they’ve played over 100 hours. And the boost is temporary and nothing compared to what subscribers will get.

If someone committed a crime and is being arrested, sure, you can confiscate their money if it’s related to the crime, since there’s no option for them to collect it after being arrested, unless you just choose not to confiscate it. But for people who abuse LEO and just take money because they think it’s funny, it should be logged, and they should be moderated for it.

This is a good idea, but they should be required to have the highest rank on each law enforcement team at a minimum. Someone who spent all that time and energy earning the top ranks in each department should be able to unlock SBI. Plus, who in their right mind would put in all that work to abuse SBI and get moderated or banned for it? There should be an option for every team to have free access without requiring a subscription or implementing a paywall. There are better ways to monetize the game than restricting teams.

A simple solution should have been implemented in the first place to prevent this. Now, a lot of people who genuinely spent time earning their money are getting screwed over. Of course, anyone with a subscription doesn’t care because they’ll be getting boosts after the wipe..

Unfortunately, they have a crazy refund policy that basically gives you no room to request a refund. I would still submit a ticket explaining exactly what you just said. Once they respond with "our refund policy states..." you can contact your bank and dispute the charge since you did not receive the services they promised.
