Just join the game and explore, to be able to join the game you need to have joined the Mountain Interactive Community Group if you haven't done that!

You need to be at least 15 years old or above.

If its in delta you need XP at least 850 and need a spot open to get in. You can gain XP by doing jobs on the civilian team.
