I understand that the reason for the ban was due to me posting a GIF that included the N-word, and I take full responsibility for that action. I see now that what I posted was inappropriate and offensive, even though it was on accident. I should have made sure I selected the right gif from my favorites. I know being careless could be hurtful and offensive to others, not only when it comes to the server rules, but also in how it can make others feeI. I now understand that the use of that word, regardless of context, history, or who it’s directed toward,can be very hurtful. Even if it was posted in what I thought was an accident, it doesn’t excuse it. I want to be very clear that I’m not trying to justify what I did, I made a mistake, and I regret it.I’ve since taken time to read over both the server’s rules, and I now see how important it is to be mindful of what I post. I understand that being part of the MI discord server is a privilege, not a right, and that respect for others, especially in a kids server, is something that I must take seriously. I want to learn from this and do better moving forward. If I am allowed back into the server, I will be very careful to make sure that my messages and gifs are respectful and follow the rules.
