I am gonna start by the fact that I am not fluent in english, but I will try my best not to make any mistake. Since I started playing with mountain interactive I have seen a lot of improvements in the game and also in the communications server. I always wanted to become part of the moderation team, but I still wanted to continue to play with other player and roleplay, to then master all the rules. I am not gonna lie, I did make some mistake while doing so. My record is not clean. But I have taken a lot of maturity while playing the game, understood some rules that are sometimes not making sense for all of us, but still have to be applied. I want to be contributing to this to make the experience in this game better for all of the players. You may ask yourself: “but why does he want to join our team now, what is the difference between now and then?”. Well like I said, I played this game for a long time. I put a lot of energy and effort into this. But I still can’t seem to appreciate the game at 100 %. There are still a lot of rules that are broken and need to be moderated. I was involved in an incident not long ago, for the one reading this on the 1st of january, it happenned today exactly. This incident made me re-think the way I want to be involved in the game. I don’t want to be seen as the bad guy anymore when a scene does not go the way another playing wanted it to go. I want to exchange my role from player to moderator, because this event made me realize that what I really want with other, is not to be the winner in every admin situation, but to be fair to everyone. Which leads me to point 2. What skills or qualities do you have that would make you a valuable member of the staff team? I have been a healthcare worker for some time, I learned that I had a lot of kindness in myself, I also developped my consideration for others, I am also able to be more calm in stressfull situation. Have you been involved in any other communities or teams? I have been an officer in a serious roleplay community since 2019, called “911 Québec” it’s completely based off of Québec’s officer. How would you handle a conflict between two community members? Describe your approach to conflict resolution, including steps you would take to ensure a fair and positive outcome. With the last event I had, I understood the importance of taking the time and listening to the two sides. Which mean, I love to hear what each person want as their punishement or what the other want the punishement to be. Then I would make a choice following the standard punishement made by the moderation team already and I would also try to keep in mind that the person at the end of the ban is also a human being and that mistake CAN happen. Without letting everything slide there is a way to properly teach someone a lesson without them getting permanently banned. Describe a time you had to solve a difficult problem in a leadership or team role: Share details about the situation, the actions you took, and the outcome of your efforts. So I had a conflict with a team member in real life. One of my colleague had to go on a medical leave because he injured himself, but he had been there for a way bigger time than me and the other guys in the shop were used to his way of doing things. Then one day one of my colleague said something to me that did not feel right to me at the time as I felt he was trying to compare my work to the work of the one who had to go for a medical leave. I did not know how to properly express what I felt at the time andd on top of it I didn’t know him for long enough so I did not want to create an issue between me and the other guys in the shop. So I reached for my supervisor, who knew my colleague for a longer time and asked for some advice on how to tell him that it didn’t feel right for me and I was trying my best to please everyone, I even asked him to introduce the guy the issue I had, which made it 10x easier for me to then go and talk to him directly. In the end we were able to correct the situation and everyone was heard as he also had issue in the past with me about me saying something that also didn’t feel right for him. Everything went the right way and did not escalate as it could have done if I didn’t reach out for anyone. How do you prioritize tasks when managing multiple responsibilities? I can explain this in a very simple manner. “You save the most people you can save” Which means. My priority will always be the following: The community/Business, then the administration, then the group and finally the individual. What do you think is the most important value for a Mountain Interactive Staff member to uphold, and why? I have seen a lot of staff do their duty and following what I have seen I think the most important value is being able to be neutral in any situation. You can’t let your feelings control the way you moderate. How would you support and encourage new members of the community? Explain the steps you would take to make new members feel welcome and ensure they have a positive experience. Answer their question to the best of my ability, refer them to the people or service they require if I am not able to help them. Be respectful to them and take some opportunity to show them special things they don’t see usually, for example doing civilian roleplay and using the new insert vehicle in-game, to show the full potential of the game, so they stay interested. (This is what kept my interest througout these years.) What are your long-term goals, and how does being part of Mountain Interactive align with them? Share your aspirations and how this role fits into your personal or professional growth. Being appart of this team would make me upgrade my vocabulary and grammar in english, I would also learn to work with a bigger team than ever before. I will also learn how to moderate a bigger server as it would be one of my first time learning the process of correctly moderating. As to my day to day life it will help me strengthen my resolution skills with other people. Are there any areas within the community you feel need improvement? The community punishment book, it need a lot of improvement in my opinion. Mostly because every situation doesn’t fit for the punishement that was planned. There should either be a minimum or maximum “sentence” for every rules that were broken OR, depending on the situation an administrator should be able to help a moderator decide if the punishement should be given or not. They drew their weapon and I backed up to see what was going on, I then went to where they were pointing to see a downed civilian, so I rushed back on the street. Where they pulled me over. Once I pulled over, I was waiting for a normal traffic stop to occur, they drew their weapons and started shooting beanbag through my car to arrest me. Seeing they were going rogue I downed both of them. Then after, I left the scene, I continued roleplaying and another deputy pulled me over, without any reason, they then pulled up infront of me and did the same exact thing, used beanbag THROUGH my car and I just started shooting towards them as there was no staff online do defend myself. Give us an Incident Description: Basically I was driving on perris main street, turning left to go to the FBI station after I just arrested a suspect. I was transporting him. Couple police car were running code 3 next to me. I stopped on a green light as one was approaching. Then he decided to pull me over on the overpass over the highway. I stopped. He told me I wasn’t driving a cop car, thinking he was only pulling me over for that I left. He then chased me after I clearly showed him it was one. Then he decided he would cuff me. Saying he was arresting me. With the suspect in the car still. The other cop next to me uncuffed me, and he cuffed me again. As soon as I got uncuffed I shot him as no staff would respond and I didn’t want it not to end. After that. He was not respecting NLR on the radio and abused his radio saying he would kill me. Not long after another officer called me on the scene of BOA and then he just decided to shoot me for no reason at all. Admin moderation was not supposed to happen as there was no RDM. The use of force was simply not legally okay. The issue should’ve been dealt with with the police in-game, not staff wise.
